Well this is kind of just for me to rant a little but comment if you like. So I had been with my GF for about a little over a year and a half. I was in the US Navy so it was long distance and we saw each other whenever we could pull it off. We Both put a lot into keeping our relationship going and were truly in love. Well I got out of the Navy two weeks ago and moved back into town on Saturday. Well I'm at the airport and call her to tell her I'm in and I hear the phrase "We have to talk." Which is never good. So I get back home and hang out with my family for a while before she shows up. And once she does I don't get a hello kiss, and she won't even hold my hand. She says she wants to talk once my family has gone to bed. So we wait a while and finaly every one heads off, and we start our talk. At first she says she dosen't know how to say what she has to. And then she says she can't say it while shes facing me. So we sit beside each other and she finaly takes my hand for the first time that night. So she gives me a speach about how she wants to be single because she hasn't been since she was 15. And that she still loves me and wants to remain freinds (without benifits and then she changes her mind to maybe.) Not to think that she has been cheating. How she knows that I'm going to want to get married and she isn't going to be ready for that any time soon. Anyway she lists off these reasons to break up, all of which my mind automaticaly flags as bullshit. So our relationship is obviously being ended by her at this point and I walk her out to her car and she agrees that a good bye kiss would be allright. Well I go in for the kiss and she moves to the side and kisses me on the cheek. She calls me the next two days and then every other day after that. Just to make sure I'm allright. I knew that it was coming I guess. I could hear it in her voice for about a month before I came back. Which it turns out was about when she started realy thinking about it. I even talked about it with a friend that I thought something was going on. The thing that really bothers me though was the fact that she wouldn't kiss me even though she said she still loved me. It left me feeling like she was lieing about that or that she had been cheating and felt guilty about something. I knew she was having a hard time, I was too. But I expected to come home and see if things got easier after a month or so before we would have "that talk". We had even had tenative plans to go visit one of my friends up in Colorado and do some skiing, and visit one of her friends for some horseback fun. What happend??? It seemed like she couldn't make up her mind on what she wanted. She kept changing mid sentance. She dindn;t want friends with benifits and then she did. She told me she wanted me to be able to move on and find someone to marry and then said not to move on to quick with an undertone that said she might change her mind. And then she said she knew she would end up regretting leaving me and that it was just what she needed right now. ARRGGGG! some people really suck sometimes. Any way I need to go to sleep. I might come back and rant some more tommorow.
maby this is a stupid question, but how old is she? is seems to me that she isn't really a mature person, and that she doesn't know what she actualy wants ps chicks aren't the same, i never do somethig if i'm not sure of the conequances
Chicks are all the same, btw i'm not the same as a "Cheating" one, for all you know your gf could be out right now cheating on you .. you better go check!!
Bummer. She sounds confused. Your being back the last two weeks must have been a new thing for both of you. Sorry, I don't see this ending well other than in the "many fish in the sea" sense. I would prescribe an evening of whiskey and New Orleans blues.
Why delineate "chicks" from "people"? Look around, -people- generally work in patterns. You can wallow in your self-pity or you can have the balls to ask her what's going on. I'm sorry about the situation, and it's terrible to have suspicions about cheating. ..really horrible. However, don't be a prick. Recognize that she has BROKEN UP with you, and you are NOT her boyfriend right now. It could have gone on for longer, you could have found out messy details when you came home. Perhaps she has not cheated on you at all and this is a figment of your overactive brain (as most brains are under duress, mine too).
