A lil outa season, but I was itchin to do some stitchin n'this is what came about. I had to take it apart and stitch it back togather 3 times to get it to fit right. I love it though. Had to wear it, snow and all, ha ha ha!
Lena--great work! I'm glad to see you're still stitchin'. I'm not doing much of that lately How are things in your neck of the woods?
Thanks you guys! The Flowery paisley looking fabric is a cotton that was sent to me from Hawaii. That and the white were already cut squares that my husband's grandmother had gotten prepped to make a quilt. She passed away and his mom sent all her fabric out to me. So, the blue is a jean, and the tan was an old sheet. There's more of it, I was thinking about making a matching tam.
See, now thats what makes your dress so unique. When each piece of fabric used has such a neat history. Are you selling it?
No, not this one. It was kind of an experiment for me. There's a few things that aren't so profesh 'bout it. It's sturdy, just not as perfect as i wanted it to be. Also, I went dancin' in it twice already, heh heh. It was a learning experience and I think that each one I make after this one will be better. Can't wait to get a serger of my own.
