the window in my room doesn't get much sun, but I like plants, what can I grow/keep alive in a room with one window that doesn't face the sun. I pretty much figured I'm out of luck on this one, but you never know.

There's nothing at all stupid about your question or situation, nothing at all. In fact, it's a fairly common problem. Here's a few to consider:
Areca Palm, Chinese Evergreen, Heartleaf Philodendron, Maidenhair Fern, Snake Plant, Dragon plants, Swiss cheese plant, Neanthe palms, Wandering Jew, cast-iron plant , lady palm , Spathiphyllum, Peace Lily, Dracaena 'Janet Craig', Pothos Ivy, and Mother-in-law tongue are a few.

Hope that helps, and I'll be glad to help more, if needed.

    Peace,

It is great that you are showing an interest in plants!! Take a trip to your local plant/garden centre if you can and see what they have. Check the indications too as they will tell you about light requirements.

    Good luck!
