How was everyone's Thanksgiving? How bout black friday? Anyone crazy enough to go shopping today? Well there was no way in hell I would have went shopping today.... there were outlets around here that opened at MIDNIGHT after Thanksgiving.... craziness. Oh and my Thanksgiving was the worst of my life. I got in a huge argument with my mom and will probably never be talking to that side of my family again. Sucks but oh well I guess...
aww I am so sorry you had a bad thanksgiving. I hope things get better. We had our normal thanksgiving, not really anything that eventful. I guess my bro-in-laws bro was all tweaked out on heroin and coke when they got home. He got thrown in jail for calling the cops saying someone was trying to break into the house. Stupid fuck, you dont do shit like that when you have three warrants for your arrest. Anyways, probably a good thing actually though, as he is soooo very strung out on drugs right now. Black Friday--my daughter and I were talking about how we could never ever attempt to even go into a store on black friday. I know I would end up getting in a fist fight as would she. I cant stand the rudeness on a regular day, I know there is no way I could possibly deal with the rudeness of people on a day like today.

its called black friday because when retailers are losing money, or profits, they are in the red, and the day after thanxgiving, retailers actually make profit, so they are in the black.........
and the day after thanxgiving, most retail outlets make alot of money, even if it seems they are marking things down alot......... so , its black friday.

Yeah I imagine Black Friday and Boxing Day are similar.... Malls around here were opening at 3 am and people were camped out in tents outside the malls waiting to get in and all..... saw stuff on the news with people being trampled trying to get in .... people fighting and pushing each other over dvd players and stuff. Madness.
we put up our christmas decorations and listened to christmas music on friday. i knew if we didn't do it right away we never would. so we got right to it. dave actually wants to go walk around the mall today to soak up some of the insanity. he loves shit like that. we haven't a penny to our names, but we can walk around and look.
I usually don't go christmas shopping until the last moment, if I go at all. Most of the time I try to make presents for everyone, save money. I am defenantly to poor to shop at the mall. Walmart at 3 in the morning is the best for christamas shopping
We had an awesome Thanksgiving! My pies, sweet potatoes (grand marnier and orange zest instead of sugar and marshmellows is my secret) and stuffing turned out so great that we are having Christmas dinner here this year. I went wine tasting yesterday (we live 30 minutes from wine country) and visted some galleries...figured why not have some fun while shopping ( who the hell doesn't like booze for christmas?)...it was much more fun than the boutiques or the mall.
I had a great Thanksgiving, it was just my BF and I my family went to Georgia but we had a nice dinner. Black Friday we put up decorations and went to a basket ball game. No shopping for me especailly on Black Friday.
I heard someone got stabbed at my local Walmart on black friday. The guy bought like 15 laptops, someone else came up to him, stabbed him, took three laptops and ran away! I also heard about these two wicked old women getting into a fist fight, and about 600 people being there. I bet Target was trashed too. And the mall was probably insane. I didn't go, but this kid I know did. Thanksgiving was wonderful.
My thanksgiving was so-so. Meal went good w/ little drama from the fam and then half of the family went to the bar right after dinner, which was about 4 o'clock and the rest went home. I would never ever ever in a million years go shopping on black Friday. First off, the deals aren't worth driving the 30 miles to the city and secondly people are CrAzY. My mom, grandma and I went shopping today and that was even hard to stomach Glad everyone else's Thanksgiving went good for the most part!
