Who here prefers the original texas chainsaw massicare from the 70's over any of the newer ones? I do because i think the acting is more realistic. It seems like all of the movies today are filling up with awsome graphics, but also horrible acting.
Yea i just got the 2 disc tin case collectors edition. most money ive ever paid for 1 movie. I FUCKING LOVE THIS MOVIE.
Yeah i heard that he really went and cut his hand for that sene. They got a plastic surgen to show him where to cut.
The original was better by a long way but the remake was ok to watch i guess. The original still has a place in my heart because its probably the only horror film that scared me the most. I felt the characters seemed real to a certain extent or i imagined they were. The setting was cool also. It wasn't overly done with the all to familar camera shots we see in many of todays horror films (some of course are suited to it). It was gritty and i loved the opening scene when the photos were being taken of the corpses.
Nothing beats the orginal, but the remake of TCM is one of the few remakes I could stand watching. As for the other titles in the series, I like all of them EXCEPT Texas Chainsaw Massacre 4: The New Beginning. TCM 2 is very hocky and funny to me, and the third one is kind of on the same level.. I don't view them as sequels to the first film, more just spinoffs.
