I look forward to possibly doing this soon then! :] I also want you to know that I will do everything in my power to keep us safe. I would take a bullet for anyone I get close to and a couple of my friends will vouch for that. Just so you know I am on the up and up and have no worries. I mean I doubt anything serious will happen, but you never know. superduper15: That's where I'm at! ;]
superduper15: I'm not a football fan. ;] Scottie: I am just letting you know I am really drained for some reason, so I'm going to wait untill tomorrow to start that letter. Also, a friend of mine since third grade is or has sent you a message through myspace, so make sure you read it. Next time my other friend from around here comes on, I'll make sure she sends ya a message too. :] Have a good day today and I, of course, really enjoyed chatting with you! Ryan
Well well well, Some Naugty astrology fans huh , just teasing Super15, you are adorable, you seem like a real good-will sipirit.
Ryan (clock <-- love btw), your assurance is heart felt, what good fortune that we have found each other on this forum and myspace, safety, while it should be at the front of my mind, usually isnt and sometimes i pride myself on this, being a risk taker, but i must admit, i would second guess my own judgement making a trip like this alone or even with just female friends, sad but true. so your assurance is warmly accepted. oh i understand! (that youre drained) i totally feel you. but cant wait to read your letter and your friends. will they possibly be joining us? wonderful chatting with you too. super15 = whats up?
Nope, it would be just us. Like I said before, I don't have a travel companion. I did have one from around here that I went with to Florida last year. It was weird, we were friends for two years before we took the trip together and it wasn't untill we took the trip that I saw his true colors. He was too worried about himself and drugs like crack, which turned him into a real dick. He came to Colorado after a few weeks of my being there and got ticketed, so I went into town with him. There's actually a picture of us at the court here: http://www.ashevillecommunity.org/hawker/rainbow/albums/2006_CO/images/rights-are-crime.JPG We're sitting by the car. From left to right it's his (new) wife, him, and then I. He ended up leaving me in town. I had to spend the night at a KOA campground freezing my butt off because it was by the water and I didn't have my sleeping bag. Luckily, I found someone to drive me forty-five minutes back into the gathering the next day. That really pissed me off. He didn't even apologize for ditching me there...
I'm thinking about the details of such a trip. If I were to fly there, I don't know how I would bring my bike. I'd probably have to buy one. Know any places there that sell bikes for cheap? I know some thrift stores sell them. Also, do you have a tent? I don't... At the very least, we'd definitely want a tarpe in case it rains and we're out in the open when we squat or at the gathering. I mean, there's a lot of kitchens and camps you can crash at during the gathering, but it also can be noisey. Some people will be really obnoxious and will keep you up all night or tag you if you pass out with your shoes on. There was a time last year that it just started pouring and everything at our camp got wet. So, a tent is really preferable but not necessary. I mean, maybe I could buy one. I just want to make sure I'd have enough money though. Basically, if we do this, we'd have to pack as lightly as possible.
Food I don't think would be a problem. We could probably get a whole bunch free if we mention to people what we're doing. You'd be surprised how many people are willing to help. Also, the Winn Dixies are known to throw out perfectly good pastry still wrapped or cased like cakes, donuts, and etc..
I don't know where I read this, but it was some rainbow site. It was talking about karma. While traveling it's important not to do anything evil. When I got ditched in Colorado, I met this guy from TN. We went to the Safeway to get some food. He ended up saying he was going to pay up front and never paid for the $5 meal. He said he had done it a couple times. Anyway, when we went back to the gathering, we were trying to find a place to sleep away from all the noise because it was daytime. No one would lend him a sleeping bag. We took a long hike and found a nice place to crash. The bugs got really bad and were specifically attacking him. He was all like, "Dear Lord, please stop these bugs!" It was funny that he was all upset and praying, though he had no problem stealing. He got all agro and said he was hitching back into town. I hiked another five minutes and found this gorgeous hill by a stream and passed out. It was the best sleep I had all gathering and I slept right through a hailstorm and didn't even know. ;] So, yeah, that's karma for you...

I was doing some math. If we ride around a steady 3mph, considering wind and weight of gear for 12 hours a day, it would take us only about 16 days to make it. That's not bad at all. Judging by that, we would want to leave probably around the third week of Jan. Of course, it's really hard to be sure due to numerous complications that could arise (ie. tiring, having troubles finding a place to sleep, etc.). But if worse came to worse, we could always find a ride from wherever. But I really think we should be able to do it!
Awesome! Wow, stop being in sync with me so much, it's weird! ;] It seems whenever I come here to post something, you pop up and then post something almost at the same time. I think that can be explained astrologically, we have several aspects that suggest heavy telepathy between each other.
i think you will be quite fond of this one bike he has, i'll make sure it is good and ready and take a picture for you. my father also has a friend who at 60 has participated in long distance cycling as well and triathalons but sticks solely to cycling in his older age, hes preparing for (literally) a cross country trip from cali to goodness.....like virgina? about 2 months ago he was qualifying for his 2nd 500 miles inorder to qualify for the grand race and my dad rode with him a good while, i plan to get in touch with him, because i believe he has made the trip from LA to FL, he has recently provided me with good cycling clothes his knowledge and advice will be wonderful for travelers like us ah good i like a person who does math lol, i was going to ask you that same question. there is a great bicycle shop in baton rouge by LSU and has quite a following. extra tires and tubes can be purchased there (good prices and great deals for a store of its caliber) in preparation for the trip, i would like to avoid walmart spending if possible, support the local shoppes. lol yes we do seem to be in sync id like to hear your theories.
That's amazing! Any advice from him would be greatly appreciated! Yeah, I am more interested in astrological math, math that points out synchronicities to me, or the math of music, though. I totally agree about avoiding chain stores and it would be a good idea to stock up there. Interestingly, my Mercury sextile your Jupiter means we make good travel partners. Your Mars sextile my Jupiter is also another good indicator of travel companions. See, it's in the stars! ;] There's literally tons of aspects between us that signal much mental compatibility. The conjuction of your Mercury to my Uranus is a big denoter of the telepathy... I have yet to give you my birth data, so I am going to send that to you privately now...
oh me too! math and geometry! i cant help but reason everything mathmatically or in some mathmatical way. but i especailly love geometry, and the geometry of energy, (<--if there is such a thing? i dont know what one woudl call it.) which is why i am so inclined twoards astrology in the first place. definetly the math of music, but my mercury retrograde i think is one indication of me working backwards in music, which i do. lol, hard to explain. youve pointed out the sextile that i did not notice. my mercury to your uranus and your mercury to my uranus i did notice and found intriguing. thanks for sending me that! i had fun looking, but i really havent ventured into composite/synastry charts so i wasnt too sure of what i was looking at
