So I just got all intense and posted too much on someone elses thread, here http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=203633&page=2&pp=10

basically what I'm curious about is if anyone else prefers Delysm besides me. I feel like people prefer the gel caps since the syrup is hard to drink, but this stuff doesn't taste bad at all, and its double strength. so basically:
CVS maximum strength, 8oz bottle, tastes like ass, 708 mg dxm
Delsym, 5oz bottle, tastes like funky orange juice, 887 mg dxm

Anyone else realized this and gotten with the program?

I think my experience with delsym was very much due to the huge doses I took. Not having done a reasonably 'normal' (sub-1000 mg) dose, I guess I can't comment about it within the realm of sane dxm tripping. To be honest there were enough negative aspects to my high-dose delsym experiences to make me wonder now what the hell I was thinking, and in the future, if I do dxm again, I'm probably going to stick to hBr and do an extraction of some sort.

I think I may have read somewhere that you need double the amount of polistirex than you do hydrobromide (hbr) due to the slower absorption of dxm in the polistirex form. Not sure though.

    Also:
"Dextromethorphan polistirex may be more toxic than the hydrobromide version, possibly due to buildup of DXM in the bloodstream."

Eh, I think I'll just stick with the HBr formulas.
