Heavy metal groups you consider Gothic.

Okey Gothic hippies, what heavy metal groups do you consider in your infinite wisdom are truly gothic?
and why?

My judgements so far:

Marilyn Manson
Korn
Papa Roach
Slipknot

 

I'd say those are more emu than gothic. Goths tend to be a bit more purist I've found, and like obscure stuff that doesn't touch the mainstream so much....

 

Out of my list, I judge Marilyn Manson to be a true Goth. He has commited himself to the dark side and is more convincing than say Ozzy Osbourne. I would say the Osbournes were all Emu's.

Definately HIM are goths. Forgot to add that to my list.

 

But they're hardly heavy metal..

yeah weird that - I dont know much about goths apart from my old mate was weird and had some funny teeth especially modelled for him,though maybe he thought he was some kind of vampire.Hang on,come to think of it he used to think he was some kind of ninja warrior too.Infact I didn't believe he thought he was an actor til I saw him in a perpostrous sci-fi B movie having his intestines ripped out.He loved the sisters of mercy,anyway - that much I do know.

I thought All About Eve were supposed to be gothic but more like a flowery clannad
