I was supposed to be staying in Amsterdam for my trip i'm leaving on tomorrow, but just found out that instead i will be at Hotel Sofitel Den Haag (which i am not really extatic about) Does anybody know the best way to get to Amsterdam...train? how long does it take? AND if there is anything to do in Den Haag, any coffee shops/bars, which would be awesome. Cause i was really looking forward to smoking my brains out, but now i don't even know whats going on, i guess i will have to make the trip to A-dam.

I've been to Den Haag a few times, it's a small(er) version of our beloved A-dam. Smoking and prostitution laws are the same (those laws btw, are nation-wide, so just about any city you go to will have the same laws--there may be a few exceptions)

Not as much night life there, but a fun city during the jazz festival (which is not now, and isn't even in Den Haag anymore)--

It's not far from Amsterdam by train, possibly 1 hour? I forget.

(I believe it is between 30-45 minutes)
