It helps for some, and intensifies it for others. When I was your age (god, that makes me feel old) I had the worst pms. Cramps so bad I had to stay home from school. I broke out horribly, and was a total BITCH. I think as I got older, my body got used to the extra hormones...as a teen all the hormones are fairly new to your body, that's why they call it "ragin' hormones". Your body has to adjust to it. Now, I have no cramps, I never get a single pimple, still am a bitch sometimes, but who isn't? Can you talk to your mother, or will she freak out at the mention of the pill? I think it can help straighten your cycle out, if it is sporatic (sp?).

the pill deffinetly helps with things like mood swings, pain, regulation, etc... but there are many side affects and they are different for each woman, some lose weight, others put on lots, some get super high sex drives others lose their completley, etc... the list goes on. try talking to a doctor or a health nurse, they can tell you everything.

It helps me. But I had to try about three different types. There was one that causes me to gain almost 20 lbs in not even a month and didn't help my cramps at all. I swore off the pill, but my cramps kept getting worse. So I saw my doc again and we discussed the problem and she convinced me to try another brand. Now, I am cramp-free, I break out way less, and I not only have not gained, but I not feel like eating once I'm full. Everything's all balanced out now.

I think it depends on each individual. So go try a bunch of different ones out and pick the one that works for you.

I loved being on the pill! It was almost like having no periods. Light, three day periods, and no cramps, was ideal. My bust got bigger and my hair grew faster. It gave me problems tho, lightheadedness, so I had to go off them.
