Ok I'm, almost to the point now where I'll be loading her up and going on a journey to the next house. The bus I bought a year and half ago runs on propane which is cool as propane gets 9/10ths the distance as gasoline at about a dollar cheaper a gallon. The problem is, where do I fill up along the interstates? Do truckstops have the facilities to fill me up, or do you think I'll have to plan to drive into towns where propane is sold. I was hoping to stick to the Interstates but someone out there in Rainbow land must of had a propane rig at some point. Thanks guys... Mike...
they make a book of everywhere to refill propane in America,,well almost everywhere.. i think it comes from a rv store?? but any gas company will fill yer tank... love n light
Most of the places ive seen for propane were at U-Haul and campgrounds... BTW. thats a cool Fuel Station Locator link, even has a rout mapper!
Hey if you are going through UT I -15 there's a good deal on propane off the freeway in Orem, which happens to be right by my house, where you can crash a night and say hi!
Propane is everywhere, although if ya got the funfd its good to have a universial kit so that no matter where you go they have a tip to fot your needs, alot of smaller stationes only fill gas grill tanks and if you have a diff fitting your fucked but if ya say "Hey buddy I gots me an adapter, your full in a few minutes. If you happen to have a older rig like mine, dont trust the 16 year old gas jockey, put your adapter on and connect it yourself, dont want to fuck up 30 years old brass threads. And if ya got to depend on some rookie to fill your tank you should be fucking with propane anyways. Ive now have a 34 pound tank on each side of my camper van so I can keep 70 all the time. But my new motor is going in the van and ive hooker headers that com out for full length side pipes so I mighthave a few issues. But be assured you will never be far from propane.
