I thought today was Friday 01st December - feels like a Friday to me (Wahay!!) However for tomorrow, I am thinking of my friend William Johnson, the only victim of AIDS known to me personally; and of course of all the other hundreds of thousands of people who have succumbed ot this sad disease.
Yeah, it's one of those killer diseases that just mysteriously popped up out of nowhere. I am sure the governments of the world are doing everything they can to find a cure because they care. I trust them, and I think we shoud continue forking over large sums of money to organizations that promise us a cure for AIDS.
your sarcasm is noted-as always. Didn't it come out of the congo with monkey-human sex-or is that a lie in your opinion?
I don't support any organisation at all - AIDS related or not. I am merely thinking of those who have died, so don't be such a sarcastic arsehole Pressed_Rat.
Maybe they are just getting them all in one place to finish them off, maybe a good idea, maybe not. Just like mad cow or the crazy chicken flu were they just play hitler and kill them all. But seriously aids seems to of been put on the shelf and accepted for what it is, are we even trying to stop it? I tried to post a chart but it didnt take. This is from 2004 . They had alot of charts but its clear in everyone that the black male is at the most risk 16-24 its sad considering they make up only 11-13 percent of the us population.
Im donating blood on friday.....its about the ultimate gift I can give someone.....and Im offering up blessings to all who have passed...and all that are inflicted...and their families......its a horrible sickness....and ANYONE can get it !!
We've organized an HIV/AIDS awareness event for tomorrow in my uni, it should be cool and hopefully lots of people will show up.
erzebet, a great thing to do, I too donate blood as often as I can, and because of me my husband got into the habit of doing it as well. It does a world of help. And I'm sure, concernitn Pressed_Rat's thread, that there would be much less sarcasm if he knew someone personally dying of AIDS. There isn't a cure yet, but it's amazing the progress that has come from the money raised. People with AIDS aren't cured yet, but the medication is getting better. I had (unfortunately) 2 friends die of AIDS, my age. It's crazy how quickly they picked up the disease then died from it, it freaked the shit out of me. My uncle is currently living with it, and to see how much meds he has to take just to get through a day is just crazy. I'm still hoping that he's not added to the list of AIDS casualties. We really need to find a cure for this disease.
