You thought they were gone forever, but you can catch all these lot still strutting their stuff! The Alarm America Barenaked Ladies The Beat (!!!) The Charlatans Deep Purple Europe Human League INXS Journey New Model Army Ocean Colour Scene Dolly Parton The Pogues Lionel Richie Rod Stewart Status Quo (Hm..) The Wonderstuff So if you're after a quiet night out with the pensioner's club, you know where to go now :guitar:
I just went thru the list on Bigmouth... The Beat we're a ska band in the 80's, and I think the others that were around back then, like The Specials and Madness, are all back, or maybe they always were here.. Yeah, they should all do the same festy, that WOULD be worth going to!
The Pogues tour all the time, or so it seems to me. They're not coming to Newcastle this time though Austrailian Pink Floyd next April though!!!
Went to see New Model Army in the summer. Fantastic gig! The original venue they were booked for closed and they moved it into the vaults of a pub so no-one was more than a couple of feet away from the stage. They did a good varied set with some new and some old stuff
I'm off to see Joanna Newsome in January, not only is she fantastic, but she's playing at The Sage in Gateshead. Which is pretty fantastic too... http://www.howardgoodall.co.uk/The Sage Gateshead December dawn.jpg Best acoustics in Europe apparently.
