I think Pink Floyd was a gift from god. Laser light shows, amazing music, great movies..........I believe I was born in the wrong era. Tell me your thoughts on this bad I adore. I applaud all of you that love and adore this band.....as for you that have negative opinions, I respect your thoughts and I won't take your harsh words too hardly to heart. After all.............you're just another brick in the wall.
For a while I thought there was something divine about this band; to some extent I still do. They were able to express such a negative side of humanity in such a thrilling and captivating way. The music just took you to some place you had never been before. I remember sitting in my basement with about six of my friends with the lights off and we put on dark side...it was more than music. I can't explain it. From then on all of their albums were in my cd player. I can understand why some don't like them (I guess). They take a little getting used to. But in my opinion, they were the most innovative band in a long time.
Couldn't agree more. Any time I put in Dark Side or Piper at the Gates it brings back some amazing memories with my buddies back in Dallas or Madison. It was more then music. I've started to slip away a little bit, but I'll always have a soft spot for Floyd.
pink floyd is my favourite band, but to say the were a gift from god is a bit over the top I would say.
For me it depends on circumstance - in vulnerable times they can - as in the lyrics of their song 'The Nile' - totally 'drag me down'.But then you can listen to some of their other songs at other points and wallow in that sense of seeing everything from a huge distance.Someone lent me 'Pulses' last week and I must say 'high hopes' kicked my head in.Haven't watched the other half yet though
i love pink floyd sooooooooooooooooo much. they are in a tie for being my # 1 favorite band.i never tire of their tunes. i even like the solo work of david gilmour and especially syd barrett. my favourite pink floyd album is piper . their earlier stuff was so amazing. and the relics album is sweet too. but i really want to hear vegetable man...i have only ever heard parts but it sounds sweeet!
