    Water is unique in that it expands when frozen. I've never heard anything about a cell bursting, especially the cell of a dried plant, due to temperatures around 0*C. But what do I know.

    And BTW, that sandwich looks a lot better than I lot of pot around here :p

    I'm not sure either that the cells actually burst... but I've still heard that its not good for the weed, and you end up with a mess when it thaws out, if it was moist bud.

    about the film canister, i dont remember where i read this or if it has any importance here, but there is a chemical put into the canister that does something for the film and that chemical is pretty bad for you. i dont know but maybe you would get some of that chemical on the buds, but probably not.

    i keep my good pot in a baggie inside of a cuban cigar box made of cedar which i then put into my humidor. i try to keep the humo at 70% humidity and when the pot is in the bag i leave the bag open just a bit. it makes the whole cigar box smell so fucking good, i find the cigar/dank flavor to be perfection

    water does not expand when it freezes, it contracts!!!!!!!
    if water expanded when it froze there wouldnt be ice.

    * * * * * all liquidy
    * * * * *
    * * * * *
    * * * * *

    water molecules at room tempeture^

    *****
    ***** thicker due to the contraction of molecules
    ***** when it becomes ice.
    *****
    water molecules when cold^

    * * * * *

    * * * * *

    when water is heated, the molecules expand (away from eachother) and become GAS (steam).

    You're wrong, water is unique in that is does in fact expand when frozen...Have you ever put a warm soda in the freezer and forgotten about it?

    uh ya sorry rydns but by experiment your theory is defeated... put some water in a ziploc bag or a pop can or something and put it in the freezer

    but the question isnt whether water expands, its whether the THC is ruined, right?

    dude I dont know about the chemical in the film canister thing, I think thats just if you put film in it. I've never put film in this one, because I used it for a project when I was a little kiddie, I made a penguin out of it by putting googely eyes and colered paper on it to make wings and the white part. Its pretty damn awesome if I do say so

    water expands while freezing for a short amount of time in the process, but contratcs in the end.

    marijuana contracts but since its fiberous why would it become a sticky mess.
    thats just bullshit

    did you ditch 6th grade science? the solid form of water takes up much more space than the liquid due to the EXPANSION of freezing water molecules. Put a normal bottle of water in the freezer. When frozen the sides and bottom will be pushed out and filled with ice because it the ice needs more volume than the liquid.

    another example, take a rock with a slight crack as liquid water enters the crack nothing happens but when it freezes the crack expands. This is cuased by the 9% increase of volume in solid water versus liquid states. I went to 6th grade science
