I definately knew Trey was fucked up one or both nights...but THAT's what he was doing?!?! Snorting coke?!
He needs more help than breaking up the band can give him if that is the case.

I wonder if Phish (in their spare time away from music and everything else life entails) ever surfs the web searching for themselves, and comes across THIS site. That would be quite a trip to get a post/reply from a member of Phish. Of course, you couldn't be 100% sure that it's Phish anyways.

so what is the deal with Phish? I mean I'll be honest here, I like some of their music, but I never really got into the band.

I find myself at phish.com several times a day...just checking in case they decided to do just one more concert because of what a fiasco the other one became, and because they played like shit. I take that back...Trey played like shit. Of course, I can't really blame him, he was wicked fucking nervous. Actually, I can blame him, he was on something...and I'm not talking a couple puffs of wacky tobaccy. He was far out there that weekend man.
C'mon Trey...make it up to me and all your other loyal phans.

Trey was probably snorting coke. At Bonnaroo one dude told me that Dave Matthews likes his coke n Dave n Trey are really tight friends. The only reason they decided to do this "breakup" is because this year was really bad for summer concerts. Alot of bands didn't sell alot of tickets, but they did because they were "breaking up."
It's all about making money and they did by saying they were breaking up. I know they will be back together to do their reunion tour to make more money off of you all. It's pretty sad that the money and fame has gotten to their heads. Never been to a Phish show and never will go. They took what the Dead created back in the 60s and made it their own.

Well, seeing as I'm not a fan of Phish, and most of my favorite bands were broken up before I was born, I can't really relate.

I'll just pretend the Stones broke up (hahaha...) and try and feel your pain.

    C'MON GUYS GET BACK TOGETHER!

Maybe we should just let them go? They made lots of music you seem to enjoy, so just treasure that.

Yes even though they did make tons of great music, they still had the potential and the talent to make lots and lots more of it. They ended their Phish careers way too early

Everything happens for a reason... it's always go out on top, right? I mean, it sucks when a band you love breaks up, but if there were problems that were so bad they had to quit, the music probably would've felt it.

(well really I'm just talking out my ass, and trying to make you feel better, but shhhh... don't tell!) :)

i was never much of a phish fan, but maybe now all those poser hippies will realize to go back to their roots and listen to something that came out before 1990, but i still like phish, oohhhh siket disc, very nice...

but phish was kind of what abercrombie kids were...most listen to phish and its sad that they look up to the dead and all the good music of the 60's and 70's and they couldnt transfer that to their fans....its a shame

Are you trying to say that phish just simply looked up to the dead and couldnt bring the same effect that they and other bands did? If so then you have absolutley no clue what you are talking about. You never being a real phish fan is showing. Phish was a band like no other (except for the dead) and was miles and miles ahead of other bands from the 60's and 70's. No other band besides the dead had fans as dedicated as phish's audience. Go to a few shows besides the dead minus jerry and then you can talk about phish.
