Not ready for that yet. Still trying to get used to A Touch of Grey. I took LSD and mescaline, in my quest for truth, Now Rogane and Viagra help me search for my lost youth, I'm sleeping with the enemy, and fighting with my friends, Nothing's like it used to be, I wish that I was 23 again. I was for a looong time. 2 years ago I was still getting carded for cigarretes. Now I have cashiers calling me "sir". What the fuck happened?
ok i know i said clueless thoughts were welcome,, but its to depressing.. old an in the way... sad sad sad...
My hesitency to perpetuate my DNA is purely an act of kindness and the only thing it proves is that I have pity on mankind.
I love Old and In the Way! All the songs are great -I love Midnight Moonlight. String Cheese Incident does a great cover.
That album (and later cassette or CD) has always in my collection for as long as I remember. My six year old and my sixteen year old know those songs.
I like Old and in the Way, but have to be in a certain mood for it, and it's not at-work music that's for sure!
a very wrong turn.. but to answer truthfully... i love Old And In The Way.... every song on their albums are great... my favs are Lonesome LA Cowboy... Catfish John... I Ain't Broke But I'm Badly Bent.. Goin To The Races...Panama Red.... Muleskinner Blues...
your not in the way hillbillie. your in teh cut down in georgia. no one wants to be there. so your not in the way at all!! luvin ya.
Old and in the wayayyy is what i heard em say. This album changed bluegrass. Spud and dawg, is there a better combination? I don't think so. But it gets even better, Add vassar and and peter rowan. I know quite a few Deadheads and bluegrass lovers that have never heard of old and in the way, or old and in the gray.
I wish I'da seen this thread earlier... Old and in the Way kicks some serious ass. Gotta be some of my alltime favorite music for playing, all-around anytime. It can be chill for hanging out and conversing over. But you can also crank up the volume and boogy while driving. rphishin - It's one of my fave's to listen to while working also, but then I don't have a usual job! Anyone ever listen closely to the lyrics of Land of the Navajo? I just read them for the first time a few weeks ago and was so blown away I cried.
Hippe mc, look for the show with SCI and Rowan ay the Boulder, 26 Sept. 98. I like Old and in the Way, especially grateful for the steer back to the old time music.
i wish i went to that String Cheese two night stand in Colorado, with Vassar....wish i went, before he went.
