hmm, not too sure how much of a good call it is to be honest, it's a christian rock festival as far as I'm aware but I might end up going as my girlfriends going. I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised though!
i think it will be cool.. if you go with to many preconceptions you may be dissapointed.. ignore the fact that it is a cristian festival and accept the fact that all artists need to be inspired by something be it god or ganja, and just try to enjoy the music.. and no doubt the atmosphere will be cool... even if it is a little straight laced. i heard a cristian band called "why" they were kinda like the levellers but less rock more folk and a darn sight faster.. but they we're really good.. enjoy it as a new experience and enjoy it for what it is... thats my advice.
Never heard a decent Christian band yet. There has to be a reason for this! I blame a steady diet of hymns and too much tambourine bashing
Personally I don't understand why a band has to be a 'Christian' band unless they're wanting to specifically promote Christianity at which point it's not about the music and about preaching. I don't dig that at all. :H
I really don't think I'll enjoy to much of the music to be honest but there's lots of other stuff going on. There are a few interesting looking talks about "the refugee situation" (their words, not mine) which I thought might be interesting and there are some circus skills workshops as well which could be fun, so long as I'm not told that I'm spinning my poi in 'an unchristian fashion' I'll be happy enough in a field for a few days!
WHAT!!!!! NO I'm not, I'm going because I miss Effie and I haven't seen her in an age. Sure sex would be nice but as it turns out her mums going too and I don't really fancy meeting the parents then shagging their daughter in the tent next door!
What is this thing you call humour? We have it not on our planet. We are governed by pure logic..... Anyway, at least you can assure her parents her breasts will be safe, eh? Nudge nudge wink wink
me and some mates are going.. but ive never been so have no clue if its any good, we have plenty of booze so we will be having a good time if its crap or not i think chickabean is going to, you could ask her.

Hi Luchi. I've sent my number to Jaz and I should be there from sometime Saturday afternoon through to the finish. If you have poi then bring them along as well, I intend to have a good few sessions while I'm there.
Greenbelt is noway straightlaced, as someone put it. far from it. the majority of the 17,000 there are there to have a great time, for one reason, many people are going to meet with God, because it is a christian festival. The bands that play are some of the best bands i've ever heard, i remember last year, the first gig we went to started at midnight on friday and was by a band called Psalmistry, we came out of that gig feeling like we had a shower in our own and everyone elses sweat. duude. then there's this band called Cephas, who are the most energetic, wild, lunatics who play punk that i've ever seen. they are all christian, and their self titled "punk worship" session was totally totally mad and unlike anything i've done before, but at the same time, completely focused and giving glory to God. Anyone who goes i guarantee will enjoy it, it's an amazing festival, for looooads of different reasons. if you wake up in the middle of the night, you could stroll around the stages and find a gig going on, or go and sit with other people to play guitar by a fire and chat. There is AMAZING worship sessions for anyone to come and be with God, i was blown away by one last year with 15,000 people attending it. there's even a goth worship service! hehe there's a 24 hour cafe, with a stage in it - 24 hours! last year there was a wicker basket that could hold 10 people outside one of the marquees, hehe, people slept in it every night. ah man, therer's a huuge fantastic market which sells so much stuff, everything you could want if you dont want to be normal... everything that's sold is fairtrade too. last year we did a massive fairtrade march. The tiny tea tent regularly visits different festivals, you might know it. it goes to greenbelt, and you can have literally any type of tea you want, herbal/fruit/boring but it's all powered by solar and wind energy. rock on! Cheltenham Spa is the train station to go to, we'll meet you there if you don't know the way to the site - tis a bus ride then a walk. anyhoo i must get offline, i'm shattered. if you're comin send us your mobile bumbers and we'll meet up! we're getting to the festival at about lunchtime on friday, and probably be camping in the nearest possible place to the action and wonderful festival toilets.... gooooodnight! 4 days to go! zonino!! Love and hugs and light n stuff! JAZ RA!
oh i really cannot wait...greenbelt tomorrow! woohoo! and i just found out that dukespecial are playing! oh my goodness! they were like my favourite band at beautiful days! its so amazing! i cant waittttttttttt love a very excitable luchi pie
