a theory, i guess, that's on my mind. so our cellular, physical, genetic bodies are every second changing, never exactly the same. we're sending energy into the world every second through our thoughts and the things we do, our emotions, everything. seconds are constantly getting longer because the universe is expanding. we are evolving, at a more and more rapid pace. our sense of "self" is a concept. a name and a database of information that is always growing. so why do we think the machine has to break for a new life to begin? why do we have to delete the information? and do our limited memories really serve us better than the universal database at any given moment? how much comes from "inside", and how much from "outside"? you're not the person now that you were when you began reading this sentence. where did this "new you" come from? the eternal collective energy... personality, individuality, your self, is a delusion. it's a hunch. it's an invisible gut feeling. the only way you know you are you is by knowing it... what are you? a name? a set of ideas? the options you picked from the database and sorted into piles of "yes" "no" "maybe" "don't care" "good" "bad" "i like it" "i hate it"... that's why people are so scared of change. change means you don't know who you are, or... you do. more than you'd like to. but you're not who you thought you were. that's all you can know. destroy expectations... they don't confirm a truth about yourself... they are met by chance and by your willing them to be met. i don't know what the point is but i'm thinking faster than i'm typing so i'm gonna stop .
