We've got puppies in our mud room. They so cuuute. Seven of those little bitches popped out, man. It was so gross. Kind of reminded me of Monty Python's Meaning of Life... "Part One: The Miracle of Birth..." But they're soooo cute. Ironically enough, the father was a chocolate, yet there aren't any chocolate ones. And Harley (momma) is a black lab, but we still turned out with two yellows. God, they're gorgeous. Gonna be good huntin' dogs.
mud room. Bitches... That's so cool how dogs have litters. I wouldn't want to be a bitch. That'd get old/hurt after awhile... or.. at all, really. It's like sextuplets, yet... not sextuplets... yeah. Labs are the shit.
We're getting her fixed after this. We don't know how she got pregnant; we always keep her and our chocolate separated when she's in heat. I'm assuming we just mis-determined when her cycle was over and put them back in the same pen too soon. I love labs when they're puppies, and when they're old. The in between stage is horrid.
I don't know why, but I've kinda felt that way about labs too. My friend Jeff has this lab, Bear, who is 12 or so, I believe. Anyway, he got him in an SPCA near San Francisco. It used to belong to some Chicano gang and they'd always smoke the dog up. The dog gets really weird if he sees you smoking anything... even cigarettes.
I never had a puppy... or an old mutt... or any dog for that matter. Congrats on the new leg-humpers, Kryz.
Aw shit, now that's a quote waiting to happen. You make them almost sound like a new pair of mittens.
Well, mittens and puppies are both warm and fuzzy, and both could theoretically fit on your hands. ()
my boxer had puppies not too long ago. four of them. and even though the mom & dad are both light coloured, two of the puppies came out brindle. i loves them.
is it warm were you come from ? I say that because were I come from it gets cold and my mud room becomes a ice box. If it does get cold I reccomend you not to keep them in there because they can get sick .
When we got our chocolate, my dad wanted to name him Davidson. It must be a Carteret County tradition to be a shameless redneck. Oh wait, it is. I'm on the NC coast, so it's fairly warm for winter. Plus, we call it a mud room, but it's just this little hallway between the garage and the living room. All three are quite insulated, plus we've got a big heating pad to lay the puppies on, just in case Harley doesn't want to have them sucking at her all the time. Thanks for the concern, though. We've had one die so far . And another is throwing up a little bit, but we're not sure if it's just from too much milk or there's something seriously wrong. I hope not. We're probably gonna take it to the vet tomorrow morning.
you're damn right! sorry to hear that one died there's a super-tender soft spot in my heart for puppies
Aww.. I love the smell of puppies, even though they can sometimes stink. They're so soft and warm-scented.
They kinda stink, cause Harley's cleaning them so much. But they so cute. I think we got some pictures...I'll try to get them up here so ya'll can have a puppy fix.
Well, here they all were. One of those white ones was the one that died. Taken tonight: And Harley. I think this was Saturday night or Sunday morning. It was right before she gave birth. Oh, and my brother's hairy leg/foot.
