Thank You sweet Carrot - very important question made us read more and gain more.

What i found is: (i'll try to look big and give an intro to Aspects:)).

The role and importance of aspects: Why are they relevant anyway? Well, when a planet forms a major aspect with another, the energy of that planet is in some way modified by the other. Sometimes this fusion of energies can be very positive, other times it can be difficult and stressful. The important thing is that being in aspect to another planet enables a planet to undergo experience through involvement with the other. If you like, it allows the planet to fulfil it's potential in your chart by developing the capacity to express its energies in a rounded way. Being in aspect produces new dimensions for both planets, as they shape one another, and the energies of each are subtly modified, enhanced or restricted.

    Major Aspects:

    - Conjunction: An aspect in which two points are close enough so that their energies join. It is a major aspect, which can be either harmonious or inharmonious, depending upon the natures of the planets involved, and is sometimes called the "aspect of prominence" because it brings the planets involved into prominence in a chart.

    - Opposition: An opposition is an aspect of 180 degrees between two planets or points. It is a major aspect regarded as being challenging and inharmonious, (especially when two inharmonious planets are in opposition aspect) and is sometimes referred to as the aspect of separation.

    - Square: An aspect of 90 degrees between two points. Considered a major aspect and regarded as challenging and inharmonious. Many astrologers consider it the most difficult of the aspects.

    - Trine: Aspect of 120 degrees between two points. Called a "soft" aspect and traditionally regarded as harmonious and beneficial.

    - Sextile: An aspect of 60 degrees between two points, traditionally referred to as beneficial and called the "aspect of opportunity."

    Thanks

    see you

the birth time is necessary to determine the Rising Sign and all the house positions and rulerships. Can't cast a complete horoscope without it. However you can determine most planet signs and aspects between planets because planets move so slowly they don't change positions much in one day. The only exception is the moon which moves more than 10 degrees in 1 day, enough to change any aspect and often change signs.
