Dark Star Orchestra this past Friday at the 9:30 club in DC. Sold out rockin' ass show. Here are some thought's that went through my mind while gettin' down: Dark Star Orchestra - right on point. you're god damn right umphreys is mind blowing! I saw 'em a few weeks ago in ATL. The alst show I saw though was SCI a week or so ago. My next show is probably gonna be Dubconscious on the 22. I'll be seeing Umphreys NYE show though! cant waitt!
Yeah, they played the norva... which is like a 1500-2000 seat venue, but I think it was pretty much unannounced. I nearly died when I heard. A friend of my mom, who happens to be a circuit court judge, went and saw them. Haha... he offered to take me. One time I got him talking about stories of when he was a kid. He kept talking about how he quit smoking weed because he always got the munchies, but he said now he drinks beer too much. Then I said "Well, you know Abe (name concealed), that's why I don't drink"... and then he gave me this look of "Ah, so how many joints do you smoke a day, again?" Anyway, addin a 12/28/06 date for Falls Church, Virginia to the list. I'm going to see the duo. bob dylan, jimmy buffett, keb mo, anders osbourne at jazzfest a girl in my english class goes to a lots of umphreys shows. she's going see them on new years eve... and she's going see this other crazy band with a crazy name this weekend in new orleans and she invited me only thing is im not 18, so that may be a problem....
(It should be physically impossible to pass up a Umphrey's NYE show). The Aragon is going to be rockin. If I still had a car, I'd be down in Asheville at Warren's x-mas jam in a little bit.
