You home today? I'm in excrutiating pain and wasn't able to take my meds this morning... so I had to go home.
AHAHAH Derek You're going to make the best old coot ever. yeah I'm home.. I just didn't feel like going... Sort of sick of school...
I second the motion. Dear Derek, You're 20. How crazy is that? It seems like just yesterday you were a little youngin', catching fish in the pond and listening to bedtime stories like they were whisky in your coffee. I hope Seattle will bring you much love on your 20th. Oh em gee, you'll be 21 in a year. That's fuckin' ace. I'd quote some Wonderful Life line about tying a lasso around the moon, but I think you get the picture. Love, Krystin.
Happy Birthday Derek. strange its your birthday.. this morning I had had a dream I was in Seattle on my way to Canada, and I saw you. I thought of you on your day unintentionally Love ya dude.
Dearest Krystin, Actually, it really WAS yesterday that I was a little youngin', catching fish in the pond and listening to bedtime stories like they were whisky in my coffee. () Yes, I shall be 21 in one year... I'll be all full-blown adult, and all, just without the maturity. Thanks for caring about my birthday. Love, Derek Uh, thanks. I thank you! :happybday: Now that is strange, Maryanne. () I mean, it's not strange that you would be dreaming of me... but, you know, as they say, the strangeness is in the timing. Whatevs. Thanks for being a buddy!!^&*!
Oh snap. I didn't even realized I left out my deepest happy birthday wishes and congrats in being able to legally drink in Canadia now.
It's all right--but yes, being able to drink in Canadia is muy importante. Thanks, George. Hey, the dimples don't make the man, Maryanne. ()
Happy Birthday, and the legal drinking age in Canada (for the most part) is 19, so now you're really at that middle stage, between nineteen and twenty one.
You should take the ferry to Vancouver. The ferry goes all the way to Baranof Island (Sitka), where I was born. I think they only have like... 14 miles of paved road there, still.
I miss that song so much.... I miss the warmth that Bruce Cockburn used to give me when I was driving back to my dock in the Summer, after lunch break. For some reason, that's how I remember his music best.
