This is going to sound rather odd, but I have recently switched from your average shop bought deodarents with the aluminum and parabens in them to a more natural deodarent and yesterday I notcied I was sweating a LOT more than usual and even had a little BO! Now I normally don't sweat much under my arms anyway and I have NEVER had any smell from around there! I thought maybe it was my body adjusting to using a nautral deodarent? Does this sound correct? Or do they just not work as well??

some essential oils can cause sweating... I recommend using herbal clear sport, it works just as well as normal deo without all the garbage and heavy metals!!! WOOT!

I think it's just not as strong. The store deodorants have chemicals in them to kill all odors, but these chemicals can be dangerous to the body.

Natural Deodorants lack these chemicals. They also lack the perfumy scents that most store deodorants have in them.

I find the best way to get rid of any BO is to spray a safe cologne, perfume, or body spray under your arms with the Natural Deodorant.

I've had problems with natural deoderant. I've tried several brands, Shi Kai, Toms, Avalon Organics etc. Non of them are as strong as the regular Speed stick. Right now I use the natural stuff except when I'm at work.

I don't like any of the "natural" deodorants I've ever tried. Seems I stink more when I use them than when I use nothing at all. Witch hazel works better for me, but if I'm going to be getting hot and sweaty, I will use commercial deodorant instead. Dove unscented sensitive skin deo doesn't cause me the same problems the ones with perfume does.

Thanks guys, I think you're right, the natural ones just dont work as well. I'm using Natures Gate Organics deodarent. Its really nice, but just not that effective. What a disappointment. :(

NG works for me. Avalon doesn't (a pity since it smells better)
    I'm betting it's personal chemistry.

Yeah, the Avalon rosemary flavor is awsome, to bad it doesn't work.

I am in total agreement with Drumminmama, I think it is personal chemistry. I use a crystal rock (Pit Rock) and it works fine. It also lasts for ages! I'm sure you'll find one that suits you.

Crystal BO Stopper, works awesome. Highly recommend. I use Jasons.. and it's in like.. liquid form, the regular crystal bothers me, I'm just not down with it. :)
