somebody remembers the show David and the Gnomes. I haven't watched that show since I was little, which wasn't that long ago, and anytime I bring that show up to my friends they don't remember it!
Yeah, I remember. It was David the Gnome. He was an old little Gnome who live in a wood or something and he'd come out to doctor all the sick animals, caught in traps and whatnot. I remember watching it when I was four or five. Just before the Elephant Show. (remember that one?)
lol aw yeah i remember he would rescue the hurt animals.. and he had that fox named swift that he rode on lol and no i dont think i've ever seen the elephant show.. whats it about?
yes david the gnome, with the voice of father dowling, what's his name who played that, same guy. david had a little old wife and they lived in the base of a big tree. i remember their house and i rember swift being the coolest looking critter in the show. i don't really remember too much of the plot lines or what they actualy did. i just remember the voice and how they looked. also wasn't any "elephant show" that i can recall where i lived, wherever it was i was living at the time. if it was late 70s through 80s that would be the decade i was in my 30s and living in oregon. =^^= .../\...
Yeah I use to watch that show. I remember the last episode clearly, I saw it when I was 6. I have no clue why, but the gnomes have to like leave or something, and the merge themselves into trees, leaving the fox behind. I cried, it was sad.
yeah I remember it . But nothing specific. It was one of the cartoons that played earlier like 6am. The ones that nobody watched lol. Not saying it wasnt good though.
lol i think i remember the episode you're talking about, pikeypunk. I don't really remember any specifics though, cause i was young.. but mostly i remember the gnomes, and the fox named swift
I remember that show, but none of my friends do!! It was soo cute and comforting. I actually saw it on TLC or some channel like 3 or 4 or 5 years ago and I was sooo happy and then after a week I never saw it again. I remember they rode on hawks or some type of bird. I love gnomes. Another show I remember that no one else remembers was called "Under the umbrella tree" it was live with puppets. I think. hmmm I watched so much damn TV when I was a kid. Now I don't have tv and I'm pretty happy about that but ooh the memories!
yeah that show is real cute and comforting. I think its adorable. if it was on now i'd probably watch it lol. i never watched under the umbrella tree, but it sounds so cute! i used to watch so much tv to when i was a kid lol.. i watch tv every once in awhile but not as much as i'm used to.. i usually have other more important things to do!
I remember my little sister watched David the Gnome (she's a year older than you are). I can't recall very much about the show, but I can still remember what David looked like!
And he had that red hat! I haven't seen that show in ages! They left Swift behind in the last episode? :O
I used to watch David the Gnome. Also the elephant show (Which I think was really called something like "Sharon, Lois and Bram.") You may not remember the show, but I betcha a lot of people our age rememer the song. "skinna marinky dinky dink, skinna marinky doo, I Love you. I love you in the morning and in the afternoon...etc" There was another show on around the same time called "Fred Tenners (sp?) Place." I used to love it. I don't remember a lot of specific shows, but I do remember the opening credits, when he was carrying his guitar, and he crossed a little stream on a log. I may be mixing shows, but I believe he even had Joan Baez guest star on one of them.
The voice of David the Gnome was the father of Richie on HAppy Days Tom Bosley and the show was actually called The Gnomes Great Adventures http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0271527/
I had forgotten about David and the Gnome. It wasn't until Swift was mentioned that I remembered it. Didn't he wear a green outfit?
