Okay, so I decided I definitely need to get some of these, because the warehouse attached to the office I work at is invaded by mice every winter without fail.... well, every year so far, my dad (the boss) and the other guys put up snap traps, and every year I get yelled at because I throw out the traps. (haha)

Well, today, a mouse ran into my office, and my dad just stomped the poor little guy to death.

So now the question isnt whether I want a humane mouse trap, but I've seen all different kinds...what kind would you guys recommend? I've seen the ones that look like little houses, and I've seen ones that tip over, etc.

I was thinking of going with the ones that look like little houses, because I could even put some food and water in there for the little guys so they don't starve to death.

But they are kind of expensive.

    Any ideas???

If you go to that page this looks a lot like the mouse traps that I used at my moms house. I caught about 50 mice and put them in an aquarium until I brought them MILES away to a field. I'd wait till I got about 10 or so in the aquarium then transport them far away so they didn't come back into the house. They worked well, only a few died, I'm assuming from being startled, but I tried. Oh, and I dont' think this type of trap costs too much, you can probably find them at home depot or something.

I'm not sure how many you'd need, but one would probably work as long as you checked it frequently & moved it around. Peanut butter works great to attract mice to the little "house." When you release them you probably want to take them pretty far away, to a big open field or something, so they won't be able to find their way back.

I've never heard of peppermint keeping mice away, but that's a damn good idea too. You could get peppermint essential oil, mix with water & put in a spray bottle to spray around the area. Good luck and may no more mice be stomped. :(
