I read through that far too quickly. At first I thought it implied that a person may safely carry up to 1g of bud, and then... Forty joints? Wtf?

I spent a moment or two in stitches over how ridiculous it is to think that anyone could roll 40 joints out of a gram of bud.

And then I realized what it really meant. D'oh! And I'm not even high!!!!

Well considering Italy changes governments about every season, let's see how long this last.

Did you know if you were born in Italy, you'd have a 89% chance of being an MP at once point in your life.

    be warned:
    this is no longer true.

In a nutshell, the local administrative courts canceled this correction assuming that the law does not issue the minister powers enough to take such political rather than administrative decisions and this possibly classifies her behavior as excess of power too.
The minister didnt follow the principles of good administration, avoiding to ask a technical board either.

It was a good intentioned move in order to avoid jamming the already encumbered machine of criminal courts and penitentiaries but also a very clumsy try.

The limits of substances beyond which one can (and very probably will) be charged with major narcotics offenses step back to the half .

for an idea of the consequences, see below.
