WTF Ebay?--Visits counter screwed up

Is anyone else having this problem? Last night one of my items on ebay showed that it had been viewed 55 times. This morning the counter is saying it's been viewed just 4 times, as if it got reset. All my other items have the same problem and it's really bugging me. Also, the past couple days, at random the counter would be blank, just showing two dashes (--) as if it either wasn't working or the page hadn't been viewed at all. Ugh..

It bothers me because, as an ebay shopper, when I see that an item has been viewed only a couple times in several days, it makes me doubt the reputation of the seller and their items. So I'm afraid prospective bidders are going to feel the same.

Then again, even though I've got counters on all my items, I've never paid attention to them... but I suppose I will now....

 

I read in the community board that was happening to a lot of people. I have the hideen counters. I think the counters detract people.

Anyone have problems with gallery images? Mine don't show up half the time even though they work fine.

 

Good to know that I'm not the only one, Frog. I think you may be right about the counters detracting people. I haven't really thought about it before...
