is it really hot if one buys grow equipment from hudroponics sites with postal orders, i reckon its better than credit cards :S, and would it be suicidal using the address ur willing to grow in, say u cant get any other adress and PO box rent is way too much and on the site its says its discreetly packaged so would that cause problems?

also is there anyway to defend against thermal imaging equipped piggies?

If the site says discreete packaging then you have little to worry about, unless your grow site is already being monitored (which is unlikely) then it isn't going to raise any suspicion. Thermal imaging is usually only used to find outdoor grows, but there are thermal systems existing to scan houses. The good news is that no existing law enforcement agency can use thermal imaging information of a house alone to secure a search warrent, but it can give them enough reason to start looking for an excuse to find further evidence. You're best bet is to grow in a basement, wrap the room in mylar, or both. I've also heard of people putting solar pannels on their roofs right above their grow space to block arial scans. Honestly, I wouldn't worry about thermal imaging for an indoor grow, unless you live in a really hot, densely populated area with a lot of known drug activity. Such equiptment is expensive and permission for scanning runs is difficult to obtain.

Mr., hydro equipment can grow any plant; like tomatoes, or orchids, etc. So don't worry about the equipment! Buying seeds online that might ring someone's bell:>)

hm, yea but it still says discreet packaging and if i pay with money order not credit card, wouldnt that minimise the risks- say the site is reliable since it also sells smoking accesories, which ive purchased from there before :S

well, this is what is goign to happen: you submit your order and the second you hit the button, police start tracking your ip and find where you live. you still haven't sent the money order so they wait for you to go to the post office to send it. you receive your packages and set up your operation. they wait. they wait. search warrent granted, you get busted

is this based on fact or ur imagination, i dont think there is enough pigs to be setting up tracking operations and waiting for every single person buying seeds online, i dont think quality sites are gona let police look through their outgoing mail, plus the package is discreet, it could be a fucking birthday present from uncle whose on holiday or something. your story sounds like hollywood shit

    ^^^yea.....probably not.

I was forced to order most of my equipment, as i live in a small town and nobody sells HID's, quality soil, etc. All packaging was discreet; i ordered a few things from plantitearth.com and on the packaging it said P.I.E. and was shipped in a plain jane brown box. And like Naturalhi said people also use growing equipment to grow tomatoes and such, so i wouldn't worry about ordering the equipment, you should be fine. And like PopDog said, as long as your house is currently being watched, there should be no suspision in getting the equipment shipped to the place the grow will be at. And for the thermal imaging again like PopDog said, in the US (not sure bout england, etc.), they can't use indoor thermal imaging to obtain a search warrant, it would just lead them to search harder to find something they can obtain a search warrant for. I know some mylar comes with a protective layer that will block out the "hot spots" thermal imaging picks up, but its pretty spendy and not really needed unless you just absolutely want it or are growing on a large scale.

Hahahahah! omgimmatt, you tweeker, haha, dear lord. :chill: Narcs do not have the time, nor recources, nor patience to sit around and keep tabs on every transaction made at a garden supply online store. They certainly don't have the manpower to to set up a stake-out every time a person kips down to the post office to make a money order on said purchase from said garden supply store. While they are government-run agencies, police orginizations are still run very much like a business. Taking measures against drug activity takes money, and the people who provide the money for these measures expect results, now it wouldn't be a very efficient way to spend this money by paying someone to sit outside and watch every person who's ever bought some gardening supplies, or some pappers, or a bit of smoking paraphanelia. They need to have a strong reason to believe that spending the time and money on getting a warrent and conducting a search will yeild the nabbage of some drug activity. Every time they come up empty-handed, it hurts their numbers, they're statistics for that year, and if they're bad enough then management gets chewed out by bigger, scaryer management and funding goes away. These days, searching and coming up with nothing can draw fire from all kinds of civil rights groups and can elicit legal action. Besides, if simply buying some supplies that could be used to grow connabis put you at serious risk of being aprehended, then I don't think the online stores would be in operation for very long now would they  Honestly, pack up your paranoia and take it somehwere else, you aren't helping anybody and you clearly don't know what the hell you're talking about.

The cops could be parked in front of your house and watch you carry in 20 box's that said "1,000 watt grow lights" on each one and they wouldn't be able to get a warrant.
Because, as Natural Hi said, it's not against the law to grow stuff inside your house. MJ yes but there are a lot of things you could be growing that has nothing to do with MJ.
Maybe you bought the lights to re-sell on e-bay.
They can't use infa-red to get a warrant either. Maybe you have a hot tub or one of those indoor sauna things.
A 1,000-watt elect. space heater puts out more heat than a 1,000 watt HPS.
The ONLY way the cops could get a warrant is if they have PROOF that you're doing something illegal in the house.
If cops have other evidence that you're growing MJ, such as an informant that is willing to go to court, THEN they can do infa-red and check your Kw usage and put your house under survielence.

I have a friend who bought some grow lights from a police auction. He lives in Calif. and he's got documentation; he's not worried.
