Last night something very wierd was going on at my girlfriends house. We had just gotton back from Kareoke night and were grubbin out in the kitchen when the lights flickered a few times then the power goes out. I looked outside and all the neigbors still had power so I figured it was just a blown fuse or something. I went downstairs but everything was fine so we just lit some candles and as we started to clean up the kitchen the carbon monoxide detector starts goin off. This is where it gets creepy. My girlfriend unpluggs it and takes out the battery and the thing keeps beeping. Without a power supply. WTF? After determining that there wasnt any gas leaks we just kinda sat around scratchin our heads and we eventually just decided to go to bed. At this point the dog starts freaking out so im tying to calm it down and girlfriend is trying to find her cell phone which is no where to be found. So she called the phone from the house phone. The first time it said the number had been disconected so she tried again. This time it gave a busy signal. The third time it went straight to her voice mail. So now she's getting weirded out and starts franticly searching for the phone which she eventually finds and see's that theres a text messege from her friend. Now it gets even weirder. She was trying to send a text back to her friend but when she was pushing the buttons, the wrong letters and random numbers were coming up on the screen. She gave me the phone and I tried and sure as shit, the thing was just going haywire. Eventually we just went to sleep and at 5am or so the power came back on and everything was normal again. I dont know what the hell was going on but it was very bizzare. We have a friend who died this past summer so we just kinda agreed that it was her having a little fun with us. Thats all I can come up with A. a ghost or entity B. some sort of electrical phenomina. Whatever it was it made for a very interesting night.
Maybe it was some kind of electromagnetic waves screwing with things? Do you live near anything that would make those?
When it has to do with electronic devices, I generally don't get too freaked out. When you see objects starting to levitate, that's when you can leave the house and call a priest of some sort.

Whatever the disturbance was, it seems as though it was electrical in nature. Has this type of activity happened at your Girlfriend's house before?
