I recent purchased one of these marvels and im loving it like its abbazabba. Does anyone know the ideal temperature to set to? Also I heard you can let the vapor in the bag sit for long periods of time without it getting stale. Is that true? If I'm using it alone, one bag is way too much for me. Its at least equal to 10 bong hits when you fill it up and the whole thing at once is insane. Do I have to completely fill the bag up everytime I use it? Thanks
With every vaporizer I usually just set it to 12 o clock. I've heard that it can get a bit stale, but not like letting smoke sit in a chamber. Like even 20 mins you'd still be chill. Congrats.
I recently got one and find that setting 6 or 7 works fine. Yes you should fill up the bag each time or you must do several bags from the same grind. Normally you can fire it up twice. You can regrind the herb after the first bag to get almost as much smoke as the first bag. I find a bag of vap will last awhile, but it seems to lose potency the longer it sits. I'd try to use it all as soon as possible, waiting an hour max. There's a great instruction manual that pretty much details what to do. Hint: when you run out of bags, they are very common and cheap in Europe but expensive here. There should be a similar replacement type of broil bag in the US but I haven't looked yet.
i usually set mine to 6-7 as well...... right now it´s at 6.5. try different settings to see what you prefer. the bags that i´ve found in US supermarkets are the reynolds brand Oven Bags. apparently there´s the "large size" and "extra large size." get the xtra large. i think there are 5 bags in the box. remember to change the bag every now and then (whenever it gets sticky inside near the valve). and clean all the valve and mouthpiece parts with Everclear (95% alcohol) regularly, too. it makes one hell of a difference. when you´re cleaning it, you can scrape the resin from the little metal plunger (off the washer-looking things - this can actually be done more often than when cleaning everything) and off all the inside surfaces. add this gooey, sticky stuff to a bowl and you will FLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY HIGH. kinda like hash, but tastes like vaped weed. oh, you can also save the vaporized weed and either re-vap. it when you´re running low (this works - just use a lot and try a higher temperature than usual) or you can cook with it. well, AND you can cook with it. i made butter with vaporized weed a while back and while i had to eat more of the cake i made, it still worked. i forgot to weigh it before i made the butter, so i dont have any info on amount. right now, i´ve got almost 1/2 of a glass peanut butter jar full. i´m going to wait ´till it´s almost 3/4 full before making butter again. the volcano basically allows you to squeeze every last bit of THC weed. fuckin´A...
They have them in food markets in PA. in the US. Alot cheaper then the replacements from volcano. I set mine at 6. It seems to work for me with not getting any smoke in the bag. I try not to leave my bag filled to long, I think it gets a little stale.
I make butter with 30 grams of vaporized herb. 2 or 3 cookies will be all you need... I've done this 3 or 4 times already. I keep my vape around 5.7 and move it up to 6 or 6+ for the 3rd of 4th bag fills. I forget where I read it, but I saw that thc would vape at 5.5. -Mike
