    Getting something removed?

Nothing removed or added and I hope nothing was removed or added w/out my permission and/or knowledge but that's not what I'm going for...

I'm going because I have had ear aches in both ears that come and go but are HORRIBLE for about three months now...... excessive mucus and problems breathing from my lungs (after a cold) and sinus pain and pressure and headaches...... This stuff has been going on for two and a half months and Im sooo sick of it.

I'm also gonna try to get a FEW anxiety pills while I'm there for a certain purpose but Im not sure about that....

If it'll help you relax, do it. I do take pill before going to the dentist. I hope that it's nothing serious and the cure does not involve any painful manipulations. Get well soon!!!

Yikes!!! Earaches for almost 3 months? How did you manage to wait so long to go to the doctor? (I have about a zero tolerance for pain)

Did the doctor help you with your anxiety issues? I'd have anxiety too if I'd be coping with earaches.

I hope you are feeling better and you got something to take care of your pain.

Well I hope the doctor can find out what's going on and be able to help you!

I too am super anxious around doctors. And hospitals? Forget it. I have come close to fainting sooo many times just walking down the corridor to the elevator at the hospital. Seriously, I get this feeling like I can't feel my feet beneath me, the room starts to sway, and I get all clammy. It's awful. I've got major hang-ups when it comes to medical issues. But a lot of that is due to having a father who was sick most of my childhood and him being in and out of the hospital so much, having surgery after surgery in hopes to help him, and always worrying if my dad was going to be okay. Plus my mother is a nurse, and I know so many things that I wish I didn't! [IMG]

Good luck to you, and I hope you can get things cleared up with those ears!

I looked it up. Ativan. I have ativan. I never take it unless we go camping. It helps me get to sleep.

Is there a difference between ativan and valium?

Yeah lorazapam is ativan. I got a short prescription for that ... had a little "adventure" with them yesterday and the rest will be saved for when i need them.

As for my ear, she looked in them and said it's not infection but there is just so much fluid in them and theres not much they can do...just keep taking decongresstants and I had a sinus infection and got antibiotics for that.

I was so nervous about going into the doc. but it really wasnt half as bad as I thought it would be.

I can't believe it was only an excess of fluids. The way you described it I thought you had a really bad infection. The sinus infection probably caused much more of the pain on the ears. I know when my teeth hurt and are overly sensitive it's always sinus related.

Glad you were able to get something for your anxiety. That might help speed your healing process if you are much more relaxed.

I hope your meds kick in and you'll feel better quick.

whoo! excess fluids, that is easy to get rid of?!

I'm hoping that I can take antihistimines.

I had Lorazepam just for anxiety, I didnt care for it much then, but I'd like them around now.

I went to the gyno the other day. My doctor always has students with him and I always sign the paper letting them bring the students in... anyways I had somehow agreed to let the student give me a pap smear! I was like, omg, especially since he TOTALLY checked out my ass when he walked in (cus I was wearing one of thise "sheets" that when you sit down your ass sticks out the back unless you slide it to the side a little bit) anyways, i guess it was his first pap smear and i felt like i was taking his pap smear virginity! haha

This if off topic but I had to laugh. Years ago when I was 19 my doctor was out and there was someone filling in for him. It was an older man, like in his late 60's, big guy. I was in for I think a yeast infection. This man real bluntly said "okay, lets take a look at that vagina". It really struck me as odd. weirdo
