In classical astrology the Moon doesn't have anything to do with emotions. The Moon meant different things depending on what the question was, but it wasn't emotion. I throw it in anyway since I think it's valid enough, but you won't find many old sources saying the Moon rules emotion.

No prob. Like I said earlier these weren't really designed for natal I don't think, but I don't see why it can't be figured in. It gives another level to it.

The buildings thing is if you were building a building, and you wanted extra magical help, you could do a talisman for it. I've actually experimented with the mansions when I do talismans. I look at other factors though.

 

Yes...indeed it adds more depth, after all those peole knew a lot f knowledge that could have gone without much notice. They were wise & good with observations.

 

After a second thought, Actually Moon in Virgo is quite nice, it goes with my venus in pisces, and mars in Taurus.

It seems i'm only Fire as sun sign, the rest is mostly water hahahaha lol

That's why I do the old stuff. I have had MUCH more success with this. The first "whoa" reading I did was over the phone with a teen I never met. I told him to be careful getting wounded on his face. He told be that when he was a kid he was attacked by a dog and had plastic surgery.

My main failing is I'm not good tracking time yet. In the classical techniques you ways of pinpointing times and periods. I'm not there yet with that which is why I couldn't tell it already happened.

 

So it goes not onl for man-kind but also things like buildings.. ah yes.

Astrology is relatively new as far as in-depth study, but I've been doing magic for 17 years. I realized a few years ago you can't really do effective traditional magic without astrology. That's why I got into it. I started with the same modern astrology as everyone else, but I stumbled upon some old books and realized they were talking about a very different astrology. I then discovered a pretty good little underground going of traditional astrologers. Now I'm hooked. When I was studying modern astrology I still thought it was all bullshit, but at the same time felt like there was a higher purpose. When I began with the classical I became a believer.

And yes my dear man, this is Hermetic magic 101. All things have a spiritual ally, and this is where good ol' astrology comes in - getting the most out of the spiritual side as possible. That way you aren't just focusing on one element such as prayer and ritual, but bringing down the accompanying planetary spirit.

To find the mansion, you have to know exactly where your Moon is, i.e. 16 degrees 23 minutes Scorpio. The text has some detail about which mansion is which.

As far as magic is concerned, its the causing of effects through one's will. A big part of traditional magic is the use of talismans which are pictures drawn on something (this can be paper, clay, or metal for example) at a certain astrologically appropriate time to cause something to happen such as love, money, protection, and so on.

There are many things to learn. There are prayers, herbs, incense, metalcraft, knowledge of stones, and many other things one has to know to really get the most out of it. There are even techniques to place a spirit inside of a stone or statue.

As far as the causing of effects through one's will ...

I wanted to ask you about. My sister was in a horrible marriage for over 30 years. she "knew" someday she would divorce him but waited until children were grown.

I have something else in my life that I've just always thought would happen someday. I've tried to think it won't happen, but something deep inside me just believes it will someday and I honestly cannot make myself think it won't. Is that the type of thing you are talking about? Almost "knowing" or "willing" something will happen, like our subconscious makes things happen because we "know" it will?
