we are bodily, unconscionly slaves of our genes (they want to survive, at any price, even if the world is crap/overpopulated/sick....)
and the system uses this! your body and mind are at the service of the system, we are it's slaves, the system need boedies and work and production (=humans and its consumtion and production). we need to find another meaning of life that falling madly inlove the partner that is gonna be the parent of our kids. this is just not real love, its fake lovem because we are in the end only supplyin the system with work force. (=slavery, but we thind we are so free, but it is just an illusion)

We're all slaves of our hormones that's just the way it is.

What's a guy to do if some hot blonde wearing a short skirt and a halter top walks up to him and says "Fuck Me"

Simply walk away....I think not

Eliminate the entire human race. Best idea I've heard since the SCUM Manifesto. At least you don't discriminate.

But....but...I have SOO many really bitchin'-awesome baby names to share with the world. If I join the cause, and I don't have any babies, then WHO is gonna advertise such brilliantly mastered names (BTW, I've been thinking on these since the 8th grade...I'M NOT GIVING UP NOW!!! lol)

A man and a woman want to have children. You intend to convince them that their love is not real but a fake emotion.

You use slavery as a metaphor for the relationship between our genes and our emotions.

You view people as elements of a social system and sit in judgement as to whether their emotions are "real" or not. At the same time, you deride "the system" for caring only about bodies and production.

You, sir, are an ass and being ruled by the current corrupt system is far better than having you and your ilk in charge.

Both you and the system ignore the complexity of people. You claim the ability to peer into people's emotions and determine those that are "real". (Does a "fake" emotion feel differently than a "real" one? Does it motivate the emoter less strongly?) Or is the difference that real emotions are sprung from a person naturaly and uninfluanced by the society around them. If so, we would have to find a person raised by wolves to find someone with "real" emotions.

Having determined that a person's emotions are "fake" (even though they disagree with you on that point), you dismiss their desires as unimportant and an obsticle to you as you seek your goal.

Frankly, your arrogance is matched only by the arrogance shown by the system you claim to oppose.

Oh, why do I prefer the current system to you? Both of you are of equal arrogance, both of you ignore people's desires, both of you regard people as tools, but at least the current system has managed (in its greedy bumbling way) to feed more people today than has ever been done in human history. With all its faults, it works somewhat. You on the other hand, have no track record of success and cannot spell, puncutate or capitalize.

    freakon,

It is refreshing to realize that there are a few posts that can think outside the box. Yes, we are slaves but we are slaves to our intellect rather than our emotions. Instinctively we strive for peace and love in our physical and emotional environment but in America we have been programmed to “trust” a monotheistic hierarchical competitive mindset that will label you an “ass” if you dare think outside the box. This is the self-important voice of the status quo.

Beware! The path before you is littered with self righteous conformists that are more content with reaffirming the status quo and denigrating those that strive to find solutions to difficult problems thru open debate and dialogue.

The great paradox! The salvation of civilization rests in the hands of our youth and the most irresponsible people on the planet today are their parents...parents that never seriously lift a hand to help resolve overpopulation or the suffering of the children that are already here...parents that figure the best way to save the planet is to produce more kids that will join the rest of us to consume what is left of this wondrous planet...parents that spend their life punching the time clock, watching TV and teaching their kids to compete with the Jones...parents that call their kid an ass for not agreeing with them and worst of all parents that send their kids to schools without gardens!
