Sorry to be a bother and all, but my cat just gave birth today, and won't show us where the kittens are (haha), and appears not to care one bit either.... And we've looked and looked and looked... but our house is too big and WAY too cluttered (some rooms you can't even walk in...) to be able to find them... And I'm probably just worrying too much and all, but, could you tell me where the kittens are?
Why not follow the cat? She will more than likely go back to them so they can eat... If not listen for meowing, maybe?
if a mama cat is away from her kittens for more than 12 hours, she pretty much will just leave them to die. not all animals make good mamas.
My cats did that also and I've learned that if she's hiding them she does not want you to touch or take them. She has enough milk for them all and when they are ready to come out, they will - no worries. You can also try to follow her but that can be tough esp. since your house is cluttered.
