Currently the only salvia i can get is plain leaf, this is only because i don't feel like paying for my salvia when my friend has a ton that he isnt using, and will give away. Since it's not an extract, what would be a good way of inhaling enough to have a decent effect? I heard you need to do it quickly even with the extracts so would a gravity bong or something be the best method?
torch lighter not required for it's temperature. vaproization is not going to happen you are smoking leaf which is mostly a cloud of particles of solid liquid and vapor. the salvinorin is in liquid form during this if it were vapor it would scald your lungs and mouth. just draw it in deliberately and quickly. nearly all the folk lore about torch lighters and vaporization are erroneous pseudo science.
So will just one hit, or one whole bowl? with a 2 litre gravity bong be enough for one person for good effects?
plain leaf - plan on at least 4 huge inhallations - one big bowl or two small ones. vaporizers are contraindicated. they do not produce vaporization or boiling of salvinorin. you are much better off inhaling the products of combustion in a quickly moving stream of air which will carry liquified salvinorin from the burned leafs to your lungs. if you could get salvinorin in vapor form into your body, it would scald you badly.
I just gotta get this straight. Do i need a butane torch? Can the smoke be filtered through water or would that stop the chemicals from reaching your lungs.
It will be fine in a water bong. No Salvinorin isn't water-soluble. You don't need a torch (which you can pick up at any gas station ) if you make your own extract which you can find out how (not too hard) to at erowid.org. Be careful... and most of all have fun.
