This is just amazing, genious movie of Mickeangelo Antonioni - the greatest director, I think. This is one of the movie that you adore, and what do you say about this fabilous movie or another movies of Antonioni, such as Zabriskie Point, Eclipse, Adventure, The Night,...?

I liked Blow Up a lot. I had to watch it for an art project, because the movie is loosly based on the life of David Bailey, who is one of my favourtie photographers.

One heck of a movie!.Featuring not only Jane Birkin , but also a certain guitarist in 'The Yardbirds' night club sequence: Jimmy Page before he formed Led Zeppelin.
When it came out around February 1967 :- many American Movie-Theatres banned it,or rather wouldn't exhibit it.Hence the 'Drive -In's' cashed in.
It was equally controversial in Britain because (takes deep breath)*It was the first British-made film to feature full nudity.*
Yes,this is absolutely true. The offending scene was the one when the air-headed dolly birds: Jane Birkin & Verushka, frolick naked with David Hemmings.
'Life' magazine did a splash feature on it around March 1967.
It was huge box-office in Britain, mostly because people were tempted into the cinemas by the promise of flesh-pot naughtiness ;never before seen in a British film.
The film doesn't seem to have an ending - unless it's an existensialist ending.A very abstract,thought-provoking film.

Didn't really think much of it. I think it went over the top of my head or something.

I would really like to see Zabriskie Point

In spite of that I like " Zabriskie Point", it is worth watching only for the sake of the final scene of the explosion with the song "Careful with that axe Eugene"

I really liked the open-ended narrative... and there's really a lot of energy to the film, even though it's about inner emptiness or whatever. My favorite is when he buys the propeller... I like how his life is restlessness and a series of distractions-- I think that's something that everyone is our leisure-driven society can relate to!

it's a shame that I never finished watching this one.
As for Antonioni, I'm not sure but I think I've only watched Zabriskie Point and Blow Up so far.

    and yeah Birkin is banging.

It should have been called "Throw Up". As for A., he is way way way over-rated. Always has been.
