Hi i've been meditation for about a couple weeks. I've done a lot of reading a research on it. I've heard about peoople saying meditators having mind control to induce a lsd trip and some people talk about inducing an out of body experience and other such things. I'm now pretty sure that the main idea of meditation is relaxing and clearing your mind. Am I right and is there more to it or different techniques for different effects. I also realized while typing this that a big reason for some drug use is for opening the mind and a different way of thinking. Is it possible to obtain this through meditation and examining the subconcious and mind. how would i go about doing this. Please respond. Thanks.

there is a lot to meditating, its about finding the true nature of your mind. You can experiance things like LSD trips but it wont be as intense. Its kind of like going into a dream world and everything you see is a reflection of you. Its like a psychedellic mirror.

You can do lots of different things in meditating... Like telepathic connections, connections to spirit, healing, out of body experience, seeing past lives etc etc...

There was a story about the meditation student who excitedly went to his teacher and bragged about the great visuals he saw, the wonderful feelings he had, and the states of mind he was able to induce. The meditation teacher listened quietly and then said "focus on your breathing and all those distractions will go away."
