Well today my mom was palm rolling and came up with the idea of hair spraying my dreads. Of course me thinking hmm well it seems a bad idea. But I checked the ingred.s of it and seemed cool. She just got done and they look a lot and feel a lot better. Ill update tomorrow and see how they're doing. It's a nice experiment.
I'm a little wary of hair spray. What's in it? I know it's flammable and flakes off. Doesn't sound good for dreads unless it's residue free. Peace and love
Ewww... I never used hairspray even when I didn't have dreads. It's so bad for your hair and can DEFINTELY leave residue and will DEFINITELY flake off (like another poster said). I would definitely NOT use hairspray...even if I didn't have locks.
just make real sure you get it all washed out of your hair. I bet, though, even after washing your hair, you will still smell the stink of hairspray in it (which means it didn't completely wash out). Makes my head itch, I'd never dream of using it on my kid's precious dreads.
Is there any such thing as all natural hair spray? I've never heard of it, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. Peace and love
I believe Giovanni makes a natural hairspray. Aubrey may as well. I'm not positive about that as I've never used either, or any hairspray really.
hairspray? no way..i'd never but i do like knottyboys conditioning misters.. not the same as hairspray, but probly does the job your hopin the hairspray would do i'd wash that stinky crap out if i was u..lol
Yeah I'm gonna tonight probably. My mom wants to do more she'll get mad if i tell her you guys said it's bad since she's a hair stylist <_<
Yes, if you go to a hairstylist and say you want something you can wake up and go, she'll still put a TON of hair spray in your hair. It's like a standby for them. You can't leave there without being flammable.
