Girls, do u use MAKE-UP?

i sure do. whenever i go out. sometimes even when i don't. it's kinda like taking a shower in the morning. i'm not really ready to move or get anything done until i'm in full uniform.

 

I try not to. I dont like the fact that girls think they look better with it on...but i admit that i feel that way sometimes. I try to remember that i look good without it. I hardly use foundation anymore... i cant remember the last time i put it on... but i do wear some makeup around my eyes to make them stand out more cuz i love em

 

some of us look like dour-faced pioneer women without makeup.

 

What kind of make-up I use depends on my mood. Or where I'm going.

If I'm going to work, I usually have little to no make-up on. (I'm too tired and lazy)

During the school year, I usually put on some eyeliner, shadow, and mascara for school.

If I'm going out, well, thats a different story. I'll do fancier, more dramatic eyeliner, shadow, mascara, cover-up any random zits I might have and add some colour to my lips.

I think it's the same way for most girls, but I guess I can't speak of all of us.

 

uh... so... you shouldnt have to try to impress anyone by wearing makeup. if people cant accept your face then why bother being around those kinds of people

 

people are nicer to me when i look good. i like it. therefore i will continue to do so. does that bother you? it shouldn't.

 

I totally agree. Why should it matter that we just feel that we look better with make-up? It's all about personal preference in the end anyway. Some people might think that I look better without make-up, some may want me to wear it all the time. Who cares? I like the way I look with make-up, so I'm gonna wear it.

And I too look like a pioneer woman without it! That cracked me up that you said that!!!

 

without carefully applied makeup, i look angry and depressed, even when i'm not. it's just my face. when i have makeup on to alter that, i look happy and bright. people respond better to that, are nicer, and more relaxed.

I used to wear a bunch of makeup but I have stopped. now I don't wear any makeup, I am kind of anti-makeup

 

i wear makeup, i like having a morning grooming routine, and i need every ounce of confidence i can squeeze out, makeup makes me feel like i look better.

 

I, for one, prefer the natural look rather then a made up face.

Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with women wearing make up. Just because I prefer the natural look doesn't mean I don't find women attractive when they're wearing it. My ex wife would look like a glamourous super model with make up on. Without it she had a natural innocent beauty. Both were a turn on.

actually just recently (yesterday) i discovered the wondeful uses of powder.. i dont want to put in on now.. but.. i do think i lok pretty good with it to remove shine and stuff...

 

i only use make up when i have very high quality (expensive) make up around... like when im with my mom. she has this great kit and it looks so natural.


also.... every now n then, like two times a month... i will put on light lipstick, eye liner, eye shadow and blush...

usually though... i like my face to BREATHE. and damn my skin looks good as it is.... i exfoliate it every day.... extra. i LOVE and ADORE my beautiful, natural face.

i started wearing makeup when i was twelve.. my mom let me attend a mary kay party with her and at that age i had a few insecurities.. when the lady made my face all up everyone oooh'd and awwww'd at how beautiful my eyes were and how i looked so much older and more mature.... so .... no wonder i got hung up on it at a very young age... this is when i still had beautiful skin but very dark circles under my eyes that i hated... anyway when my teenage acne started kicking in... i was already used to make up (which doesnt cause acne by itsself but aggravates it for those who have problems) ... i was so embarrassed about how i looked without the makeup even though i was also displeased with it but at least i had pretty color rather than red dots all over my face. many guys said that a girl looks better without make up .... and i felt almost guilty about my reliance on make up to have my self esteem up... that i forced myself to go to school a couple of times without it.. i felt happy and free. of course my skin felt like it could breathe but i just felt like a totally different person.. i felt like i looked like a dirty slob ..actually i tried to talk myself out of thinking that .. and i asked a friend of mine..arent you proud of me for showing my face without makeup?... he said.. "what do you want me to say, congratulations you look like shit?" .. ok later he apologized and even though it was an awful thing for a " friend " to say he is a very good friend anyway.. we just have this brutally honest way of communicating with each other. anyway, since then i have always felt i look better with make up... and still wear it... though my skin has cleared up alot and now i do occasionally go without it as a challenge to myself. other days i do just because i want to and i think i look just fine. my husband thinks i look good with and without makeup. i also very much enjoy applying it in the morning.. helps me wake up and feel ready to start the day and i love blending the colors to bring out the best features of my face. not to hide them anymore. probably for the same reason i always loved coloring books. hehe ok thats my whole makeup story.
