Here it is I need to harvest 1 time a month consistently! I am planning on growing in 2 seperate rooms each has a closet. I plan on growing mother plants hydroponicly in the closet of 1 room while I have clones growing in 2 stages in the individual rooms. I take the clones root them get them 1 month away from ready all the while rooting more clones then I start the next group of clones into bloom cycle when I am 1 month away from harvesting the clones that are already 1 month into blooming . What am I forgeting all input is greatly apreciated as this is all an experement for me thanks alot in advance! Peace

You can do that, it's called a perpetual harvest. I did it on a two week schedule. Every two weeks I took a handful of cuttings, usually about twice as many as I need so I only keep the ones that take off well.

At the same time I move my 2-4 biggest plants from veg to flower, and then go harvest my most mature 2-4. After getting the entire process up and running, you should have nice dry plants to manicure also every two weeks. I was coming off with 2-4 nice mature plants every two weeks on an eight week budding cycle. I did this size grow in a bathtub size space and a small closet.

You can change the amount of plants, and frequency to suit yourself and your growing situation. I liked it cuz I always had fresh greenbuds around, and I kept a lot of varieties in the veg closet going, so I always had lots of variety to smoke.

Perpetual harvest rocks, in my opinion. I also like the fact that you never have pounds to cut up and manicure all at one time, cuz that is hard on my hands and wrists.

I tried the perpetual harvesting method once. After about 6 months I went back to the regular way of growing.
I see NO advantage of harvesting a few plants a week, year-round.
For ideal growing conditions, plants have to be the same distance from the light. With plants of varying height means you have to have the smaller plants elevated somehow.
Plants also do best with varying proportions of N-P-K. What's good for a young plant may not be optimum for an older plant. And it makes it difficult to flush the plants for 2 weeks before harvest to take out the nasty fertilizer taste (ESPECIALLY chem. nutes).
A perpetual harvest meant I always had to have my manicuring equipment close at hand, something I didn't want to do (especially my scales).
It also meant that I had to keep the room I did my manicuring in off-limits to casual visitors who I did not want to know I had a grow op.
And the last thing I wanted was "fresh bud". All my weed is cured (makes it taste better and also increases potency) for at least a month.
I had a system with 2 chambers and a cloning table. Rooted clones would go in the veg chamber, with donor plants ("mothers") in the corners. When they were 15" tall I'd put them in the flowering chamber. A month before harvest I'd take more clones from the donors. By the time they were rooted and vegged to 15", I'd harvest what I had in the flowering chamber and put the next crop in.
Doing it this way I harvested every 2 months.

Finally, a perpetual grow does not mean more weed.

Doing it the way I did was much easier than the perpetual method, and I got better weed.

I simply maintained my lights at two different heights. I don't use chemical ferts, so catering to individual needs never came up. If you continue with your rotating process you will eventually have buds that are well cured also. (Unless you are smokin it all up every harvest.)

There are lots of reasons to do a perpetual style grow. We all have to find out what works best for us. In my case it was great because I was going through strain after strain looking for those few "magic" ones, and having a perpetual style grow on a two week rotation allowed me to cycle through a lot of strains in a short two year time frame. I went through well over 70 commercial strains in my search for the grail that time, thanks to my perpetual style grow. I was able to maintain and smoke fairly often 19 different strains that I happened to like.

I don't do perpetual style grows anymore, mainly cuz I don't want the high plant count. But hey if you are into variety it is the way to go. I remember being very happy with all the primo buds I had at my fingertips at any given time with that style grow.

As for better weed, I think you would have been well satisfied with anything in my stable ;)
