My good friend Alex Scott was killed Monday.I will miss you! 20-year-old charged in pal’s murder December 20,2006 A Jacksonville man was charged with murder Tuesday for allegedly strangling a 19-year-old with a strap late Monday. The mother of a 16-year-old witness notified the Onslow County Sheriff’s Department Monday night about an incident that took place between Alexander Arthur Scott, the 19-year-old who was killed, and Gregory Michael Seaman, 20, said Onslow County Sheriff Ed Brown. Seaman was living in Scott’s home — a mobile home on Hoot Owl Lane. The witness hung out with both Seaman and Scott for the past four weeks and often they would smoke marijuana, Brown said. Several people gathered at Scott’s home Monday, although they didn’t smoke marijuana, Brown said. “Some time during the evening, Gregory got upset with Alexander over a remark Alexander made about putting Gregory out of his house,” Brown said. Authorities were told by the witness that at some point Scott was sitting in a chair at his computer and Seaman allegedly walked up behind him and wrapped a red, tie-down strap around his neck, Brown said. “Gregory pulled Alexander over backwards and dragged him down the hallway,” Brown said. “Alexander was choking and gasping for breath. Everyone in the mobile home, other than Gregory and Alexander, ran outside.” After about 10 minutes, Seaman allegedly left the mobile home in Scott’s car and took several of the people waiting outside home, Brown said. A concerned mother called the Sheriff’s Department at about 10:20 p.m. Monday to report a suspicious incident that she heard about from her 16-year-old son. After interviewing the 16-year-old, authorities went to Scott’s home. “The deputies made contact with the landlord, who opened the mobile home,” Brown said. “Down the hallway at the back door of the mobile home lay Alexander dead. There was a red strap around his neck, and it was tied to the door knob.” Authorities asked all law enforcement officers to be on the lookout for Scott’s vehicle, and it was spotted by sheriff’s deputy Bob Ides at about 1:30 a.m., traveling on U.S. 17. When deputies attempted to stop Seaman, he allegedly accelerated and left the county on U.S. 17 at a high rate of speed. Seaman was eventually stopped in Pender County. Seaman was charged with murder, speeding to elude arrest, driving without a license, reckless driving, receiving/possessing/transferring stolen vehicles and failure to stop for a siren. He was placed in the Onslow County jail under no bond, Brown said. ..what a way to take a life..
What the fuck is wrong with people these days. I'm so sorry Kelly... I have to live with seeing someone who killed my neighbor and got away with it because they have access to certain lawyers, so I can kinda feel what you're going through. At least he doesn't have to suffer here.
with a last name sounding remarkably close to semen, that kid must've gotten picked on a lot during highschool.
thats really shitty for that to happen...seems a little shittier that everybody else just ran ouside..........what the fuck?! Please tell me if you saw taht happen you wouldnt just run outside and wait
if something like that happened i definetly would call for help, or try to get that kid to stop. i would never run outside and just wait
yeah but if you knew the type of people him and his friend hung out with you wouldnt be suprised that, that happend. if i were there tho i def woulda tryed to do somthin.
What type of people were with him? I hope they suffer from guilt for not doing anything and having the death of a person on their hands, aswell as the sick fuck who murdered him. To not do something in the cause of this is just as bad as murdering the person. I can relate to how you feel. My friend was stabbed at his home before. That was a shit year. Long, depressing, story.
Yeah, I haven't been down to Carteret in a couple of years. I'd like to spend some time between Florida and NC this Summer.
