I was well aware it could mess up the nervs in my face. I still did it though, im dumb I know. It only took me like 5 mins to get the safty pin through. But the soft skin on the inside of my lip was the hardest. So was poking around the inside of my lip a long time. But i had to take it out. I could get the labret in. So i messed my lip up. There is like this ball. I know is sore. But will the ball thingy go away? Im kind of scared. I dont want a perminet ball. Cause im going to get it porfessionaly done around march [ birthday month ] o.o
ive got one from not wearing a mouth guard and then getting hit in a rugby game so my tooth kinda cut my lip up its been almost a year and its still there, but now its just a tiny little lump. oh yeah and cut or whatever that i got covered the area of about a nickle (not all the way through) orgininally. i dont think youll have anything to worry about and it should be almost completly gone in a few months
well 10points for being stupid. you couldnt get it in because the pin isnt made to followthrough or recieve jewellery.. you struggled to get it through because, in comparison to a surgical piercing blade or angiocath needle, a safety pin is incredibly blunt. and a sore ball, possibly forming scar tissue, possibly infection brought on by using an unsterile instrument, bad conditions and you probaly irritated the living fuck out of it trying to jab the jewellery through it. kudos! this is the thing that pisses me off.. had two 13yr old looking girls come to the shop i apprentice pierce at today and ask if their safety pin was the same size we use for lip piercings.. then after we lectured them they tried to buy needles off us.. goddamn..
you were not stupid your only 14 hunny. all 14 year olds make mistakes....anyways its probably just scar tissue and will break itself down in no time and you'll be just fine. next rule of thumb is if you want to do piercings like that on yourself dont use safety pins their a usueless way of piercing something...instead try to get a hollwed out piercing needle...and make sure everything is from fresh wrappers.
It's one thing to pierce your ears with a safety pin, but not other parts of your body. Body jewelry isn't the same size. Besides, shoving a safety pin through your lip probably wasn't the best idea. The ball might just be swelling or it could be scar tissue. Just no more piercing with safety pins. I've known people who have tried and it's never turned out pretty.
the size isnt the main problem (as ive seen safety pins that are much larger than 16 and 14ga jewellery and vary right through) but the jewellery recieval. catheter needles have a plastic canula to recieve jewellery. piercing blades are indented or can mate to internally or externally threaded to recieve jewllery. a safety has nothing.. you need to pierce and then remove the pin before attempting to place the jewellery. once the needle is removed the layers of skin will move and a clear passage from one side of your lip to the other will become very hard to form, especially for an experienced person jabbing themself with a labret stud or ring. it would take the average person a good 4weeks for a fistula to form to the level where its generally safe to exchange jewellery without worry of having a lost connection.
man... i dont mean to burst your bubble or anything...... but if you peirce your own body you NEED to use an actual piercing needle because anything else has nickle i think it is in it that causes a little ball that usually never goes away... adn it pushes the skin around instead being hallow like a piercing needle which eliminated the skin pushing bull shit....... i have them all over my ears from when i pierced them with safety pins and sewing needles..... you cant see them at least, but you can feel em..
