I wrote this the other day watching the Woodstock movie.... "I wish I could’ve, should’ve been at Woodstock, In the wet wild summer of 69. Not that corporate logo laden shame they had in 94, nor that riot back in 99. Woodstock 69 was the real deal, cause the spirit must’ve something you could feel. Oh how I wish I could’ve been standing in that rain, enjoying perfect human sunshine. In 69 I would have had flowers, in my hair, my ears and toes, everybody knows it was a way to show that you were free. People in those days, in so many ways, embraced mother nature so proudly. In 69 I would have been naked, in the mud, grass and water, nobody would have bothered to blush, be bashful or make a fuss. People in those days, in so many ways, always accepted us as us. I wish I could’ve, should’ve been at Woodstock, in the free sweaty summer of 69. Nothing like it has come since, nor will there be hence. All I’ve got these days is a rebel fantasy. Woodstock 69 was the real deal, cause the spirit must’ve been something you could feel. Three days of perfect human sunshine. Three days of perfect human sunshine."
