It fits me extremely well.. and when I eventually get it it will be my first and only tattoo. I was completely touched by the simple message in the children's book "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein and I think that having it on my body would remind me of the selflessness that I need to give to others constantly. I just can't think of a good design to represent the giving tree I mean, obviously it will be of a tree.. But, aye, I'm just blanking out here. And I want to put it on a place on my body where it's fairly hidden because this is a tattoo for me. I need some ideas (I want it to be a small, simple one.) I think if I hear some other people's ideas, it will inspire me (always does.) Thanks for your help, loves!
its a cool idea. i know a guy who had the tree on his leg with the old man underneath it in a "thinking man" position. it turned out good. I don't have any real suggestions, since im sure its personal how you want it to look, but maybe you could try some google image searches for giving tree ideas/looks.
I love the idea. It's a wonderful personal thing. You could always get it on your lower back or thigh. A small one on the back of the neck or something on your foot, too. I just got my tattoo today, and I have to tell you, it hurts! Nothing you can't take though. Yours reminded me of mine because my tattoo is something that is meaningful to me, and only people very close to me know the significance of it. The Giving Tree is a wonderful idea.
Thanks, everyone . The back of the neck idea is a good one.. a small tree on the back of the neck.. hey, it could work. Resting on my hip bone would also be quite lovely.. I love this idea for me because not only does it work well with my view on life but it also works well with my adoration for nature.. ah, I'm pretty psyched. I'll start googling trees.
