A report issued by the gov't to-day said that marijuana is this country's biggest cash crop, bringing in more money that corn and wheat combined, and that California is #1.
This year was an especially good year for The Emerald Triangle area of N. Calif. No late/early rains or frosts, mild temps, sunny days, etc.
Which has led to a glut.
There's weed for sale everywhere, at rock-bottom prices.
Anyone entertaining the idea of buying some quantity, to either smoke themself or sell smaller amt's for a profit, should consider a road trip up to these parts.
Bring a friend, rent a room and hang out places hippie's hang out, which is just about everywhere in these parts. Talk to people about this 'n that.
Talk weed. After awhile, ask if they know anyone who's be interested in selling however much you want to buy.
    NEVER FLASH CASH.
After a couple of more days a deal will be set up. Insist that it take place in daylight, in your room or car.
This is because you might be the target of a scam, where they'll take your money and just leave. That's a possibility you need to guard against.

I'm not encourgaing anyone to do any of these things, just a heads up for anyone thinking about it.

Question for ranger...why would you go california to get weed when you can.. "GROW YOUR OWN?????????????" Mr im too cool to buy weed and i grow mass amounts for elders yet since i grow so much i need to conserve it any way possible by smoking out of strictly bowls and not blunts or joints...even though i grow pounds every season...

I didn't say I was going to California to buy weed. I already live in The Triangle.
I would rather see everybody who enjoys weed grow their own, which is why I'm spent the better part of my life encouraging people to do so, and telling them how.
But some people cannot grow their own, and some people are not inclined to do so.
And besides, where would kiddies like you get weed if people didn't buy and sell it?

Yeah I conserve weed. Just because I have a pounds doesn't mean I should waste it.
Listen, if you want to flush an oz. of weed down the toilet every time you take a hit, be my guest. I've got better things to do with my excess weed, like give as Solstice gifts, or donate to disabled med-MJ patients.

Ranger maybe once puberty sets in he'll stop following you around and putting down all your threads.
Why respond if you have nothing positive to contribute?

I think puberty hit. It just backfired.

    :)

There's certainly been a lot of tasty nugs floating thru Philly and NYC all coming from out in the Triangle. I picked up a fresh O of Diesel just the other day. My car still smells like someone blewup a skunk in it; and I didn't even smoke the shit in there.

I'll have to get out there sometime next summer. Peace ~

    It's my info.

I no longer sell. Now that I'm legal (and have been for years) I don't want to screw a good thing up.
But I know people who do sell. And it's a major portion of this area's economy.
According to dea stimates, in '04 we (residents in The Emerald Triangle) grew 1.5 Billion $'s worth of quality ganja. Without that kind of $ (something like 500--750 million grower price) flowing in, manu of the smaller communities out here would cease to exist.

Timber used to be the life blood of these 3 counties (Trinity, Mendocino & Humboldt). Ever since restrictions on clear-cutting went into effect 20 years ago, that has ceased. Most of the mills have shut down.
Besides tourism (it's wicked beautiful up here) there is no industry in The Triangle.
And local authorities don't want it to stop. Politicians would lose their jobs, merchants would close, if there was ever a massive crackdown on MJ cultivation. Unemployment right now is 10%, and a equal # are underemployed.

Anyway I was just making a suggestion to people about buying and selling currently. I've never seen a glut like is going on right now. Slow-dried & cured, usually by this time most of the harvest has been shipped elsewhere, yet I know of several barns that are still FULL of weed. I was at a friends house not too long ago and he showed me, behind bales and bales of hay in his barn, over 100 sealed 5-gal. containers full of bud, each containing a kilo. Each one is labeled as to what strain is inside.
That's over $1 million in weed, just sitting there. Usually by x-mas there's just a few left. But prices are still very low and my friend is loathe to let it go for the current market value. He plans to sit on it until summer, when prices are up.
In early Sept. a lb. of Purple Urkle was $5k retail, now it's about $3k, the same as it was 2 months ago right after harvest.

Yea its kinda obvious people dont like paying 250-400 a 0 of quality bud but when there is no way of growing thats what you have to do. Finally, in 2 years i will be growing my own going to make a little money and share a lot. but ya my first harvest day will be glorious im going to make sure to dry and cure to perfection.

Another thing about buying is that you can sample other products, which you can't with growing. Thanks for the tip ranger, I'd go but (insert lame excuse) my friends just got back from college and I wanna spend as much time as possible before they leave again.
