so every since the weather finally turned cold I have had mostly very yellow pee. I've been driking alot of water, my lips aren't dry but for some reason it seems like I'm not getting enough hydration... what does this mean?

Dark urine can be a sign of liver problems. If your shit turns a whitish-clay color, call your doc. Or your body could be requiring more water as a response to the extra physical stress of the weather. Have you been eating lots of salty foods? Noticed any other changes?

I'm just a little dry in general...like my face... um, this started when I started freaking out about finals week about 1.5 weeks ago. I don't really feel that bad... I dunno. I've had some problems with major tension in my feet and calves. I couldn't walk properly... but thats getting alot better.

drink more water. the more yellow the urine the more dehydrated you are. we hydrated people have nearly colorless urine.

bright or dark? bright is excess Vit C and not a worry. Dark (apple juice looking) is a warning sign.

    Hey meepmeep,
You're problem is you ARE dehydrated. A person can be dehydrated without knowing it, the problem becomes more aware to the person when they're thirsty. Toxins will build up in your system, and they're a pain in the ass. It's like when you break out, even though you feel fine, because your skin is known as your "third kidney". I know that's not totally related to your question, but it makes sense.

SO.. I would suggest drinking a lot more water, increase your intake of vegetables & meat. No more than 4 eggs a week, and also stay away from caffine chocolate, sodas, and obviously fruits because the natural sugars are a sure kick in the ass.

Concentrate on parsley, cranberry pills (all natural, no bullshit), natural cranberry juice - which sucks, but it will help... ;)

    Much love....

One thing that'll _definitely_ change its color a lot: B vitamins. B-vitamins turn it very yellow, even if you've had lots to drink, so it could simply be that. Any new vitamins you're taking lately?

hey so, I've been having realllllly light orange pee... its so weird... and now my kidneys hurt a little. I have been trying to get alot of water. I went without juice for a day and a half but now I have it again. So is sugar in general bad? I think I'm going to fast on cranberry juice tomorrow and wednesday. Sheesh I hope this helps. I'll try to get some parsley fast.

If you've got pain in your kidneys too, get to a doc. Kidneys are pretty versatile things and can deal with lots of stuff, so if you're seeing striking changes in urine plus your kidneys feel weird, you should see a doctor quickly.
