Codeine is legal in other countries OTC in small amounts. Why do we (americans) need RXs to get it? Is it because of the abuse, or because it isn't good to mix with other drugs. If all is good then... I have Tylenol 3s. I want to try them. I just want to feel good. Not FUUUUUCKEd up. Just chillin. How Many do I take? Best way to take them?
I think you guys still can get OTC codeine products, you just may have to sign release forms or give them your name and address. Not really sure why, here in Canada there are no questions asked. (although I don't buy from the pharmacies in this town anymore as they've started to question why I buy so much ) If you've never tried codeine before, start with 2 just to make sure you don'thave a reaction to it. If you've tried it before without any negative effects, try 4. Just pop them straight up, it's not enough Acet. to do any harm.
I believe Codeine products are still available OTC in America, just not as many - and generally you have to sign off on them, or at least get carded. Major pain, but whatever. I've used codeine for pain succesfully, but never experimented with it recreationally...is it worth the hassle?
I took 8 T3's last night... I'm 6'0" but I'm only about 150-155lbs. I guess my tolerance must be getting higher, but I don't really know the time period over which it leaves the body. It was about 3 days since my last dose, which was around 220mg's.
Tolerance or lack of it has nothing to do with body weight. Usually people in real pain have a kind of "in born" tolerance, and can handle more opiates, with fewer side effects. Otherwise, if you are a recreational user, be careful, as one person's buzz can be an other's respiratory system stopper. If you fall asleep, and wake up "choking" or feel like you are reminding yourself to breathe, you've taken too much. IF you are lucky enough to be aware enough of these symptoms. Please, be careful with this stuff. And, in most places in the US, it is impossible to buy even Codeine without a prescription. A few pharmacies carry OTC cough medicine, but these are almost always private pharmacies who will only sell to their known customers, not chains like K Mart, Walgreens, CVS ect. No way, can you get even anything like that OTC from a chain.
There is no opiate, synthetic opiate or any related compound available over the counter in the US. You can't even get Ultram (an opiate derivative that does not get you high) over the counter.
