Try this site- www.rickross.com- The Family is still uber-sexualized, if you are doubting it look into some of the modern video footage of family teenagers singing- the girls still are kind of trained to be super sexy. If she is IN the Family you might want to stay away, unless joining a religious cult appeals to you. Faith canbe a tough issue to combine with relationships, think about it this way, even if you are able to stay out of the range of her religious doctrine, if you accidentally got her pregnant there might be no way to keep your children from joining and being raised in a cult. This was started by a man named Moses David Berg. He communicated through newsletters and letters to his followers and these communications were gathered in a book called The Mo Letters. The Mo Letters advised the use of flirty fishing to sell religious tracts and to attract converts. They weren't the only group practising free love at that point in time but they are still doing it. And their idea of free love extends to children. Some of the things "Mo" did to his own children are disgusting, including kind of lending his daughter out to his top echelon. Child slavery and prostitution for no gains but amusement. Yuck! And they are still doing it! Double Yuck!

Judge Denies Motion To Ban Media From Sex Cult Case
    News 8 KFMB, San Diego/October 17, 2006

A custody battle over a four-year-old boy whose mother is a member of a free-love religious sect exploded in a San Diego courtroom today. At issue, whether the group named The Family is a religion, or a cult.

There were heated words in family court Monday, where a mother and father are fighting for custody of their four-year-old son. The mother, 28-year-old Angie Staughton, is a member of a notorious religious sect called The Family.

The father, Paul Staughton, left the group because he disagrees with its philosophy of open sexuality to show love for Jesus. Current members of The Family call it a Christian missionary group, but many ex-members say it’s a cult.

“I’m asking Mr. Baumer to stop using the word ‘cult,’ because that is irrelevant. The issue is the child and the mother and the father, nothing more,” said Angie Staughton’s attorney Jeanie Cetlinski.

Formerly known as the Children of God, The Family is a Christian sect whose members live in communes like the one in Escondido where the four-year-old boy currently lives with his mother. Some ex-members say the open sex practices of The Family led to widespread child abuse in the 1970s and 80s.

“The organization itself does not protect the child from pedophiles,” said Paul Staughton’s attorney Robert Baumer.

Baumer worries some of those alleged child abusers are still members of the group.

“Some of them may practice this behavior on the children. In other words, sexual intercourse, or molestation with the children,” he said.

The Family says it outlawed sex with minors 20 years ago, and in court papers, Angie Staughton said she would never allow anyone to abuse her son.

“It’s not the religion at issue. It’s the best interest of the child and whether the mother is able to provide care for the best interest of the child,” Cetlinski said.

On Monday, the judge denied the mother’s request to seal the court record and bar the media from the courtroom. The case has gotten the attention of both local and national media.

Last month, the judge ordered a site inspection of the group’s commune in Escondido to see if it’s a safe environment for the boy. An inspection report is expected to be filed with the court sometime in January.

and here's another article written about the childhood of David Berg's own son

Sara Kelley was Ricky Rodriguez's nanny and wrote the letters that ultimately were compiled into the 762-page Story of Davidito, intended as a child-rearing guide for the Family.

Kelley's last known address is a Family home in southwest Houston. Also listed at the address are her husband, Alfred Strickland Kelley, and two of their daughters.

Kelley writes on page 426, when Rodriguez was about four or five and she was in her late twenties: "One night, Davidito was thumbing through a Playboy magazine and he came to the foldout. 'Oh, she's pretty. What's her name?' We answered, 'Sheila.' He asked if he could put her up on the wall by his bed like Daddy [Berg] does, and then kissed her nipples and stroked her picture all over…Later in the night, he wanted to take a picture of me nudie on the bed, so he stood in a chair and Alf helped him aim the camera."

On page 457, Kelley writes about Rodriguez's frustration over not getting any attention while there's an orgy going on in the house. So, of course, Kelley did what any nanny would do.

"He wanted his turn, and as soon as I got into bed, he jumped on me and said, 'Sara, love me.' He specifically asked for several swigs of wine, got happy real quick, so we really had a good time! Alf, Tim [most likely key Family member Timothy Concerned] and Mommy [Zerby] were outside the door listening to him. 'Sara, now kiss it!' And then he began to laugh. 'Oh, it flopped in your nose!'

Kelley wrote that Rodriguez liked the "love"; so much that he wanted his playmate Davida (Kelley's daughter, around the same age as Rodriguez) to take part.

'Sara, we're going to have to teach Davida to like to fuck and not push me away'…The very next night, I couldn't find them after dinner, but then spotted them right at the top of the stairs -- banging away on each other! Imagine! It's a good thing she liked it that time."

In 2003, Kelley appeared before Houston City Council. According to that meeting's minutes, she said she was with a Family group called Making Kids Smile. She requested the council's support for a "very special fun day"; she was organizing for children at AstroWorld.

These people are scary, she may be really cute and sweet but there are lots of other sweet cute ladies out there who don't belong to freaky pedophiliac religious cults.

well thanks for giving me a choice to agree or disagree with you. i choose to disagree with you. i think that the worst thing that you can do when someone is in a group that does bad things is to do nothing.

when i was about to do things that might harm me and didnt notice it, then good friends told me that i was about to harm myself. this saved me many times.

that girl doesnt have the type of people to tell her that she might harm herself in that group. so i will keep telling her that the group that she is with is not right. do i look silly because of that? so what? nobady is going to hang me on a tree for telling her the trouth. the worse thing that may happen is that she might disagree with me(as she did before). or one day she might agree with me. thats what i hope for.

HC- Just curious, where are you finding videos of the singing at? I can't find them on the website you mentioned. I'm curious b/c as I ead more and more about The Family, it seems like music is a huge part of day to day life. Not sure why that strikes me as strange. I guess just b/c they seem to restrict so much else.
