I'm always dreaming that I'm falling. Sometimes it's from a staircase, my bed, a tree, a building... etc.

And sometimes I'm in a plane crash.

I've been having these dreams for years now, and I never figured out what they mean.

Can anyone help me figure this out?

    Peace.

My book states that this is one of the most common dreams and one that we all have at some stage in our lives, usually when we're feeling insecure/lacking in confidence.. It's a typical anxiety dream that suggests one has no sense of control.. It's been interpreted as a dream of sexual surrender, where the fall and landing mean sexual intercourse.. It can also stand for the fear of failing, whether it be through "falling into temptation", "falling from grace", or "letting ourselves and others down".. Falling can also be associated with isolation and the need to feel supported or not accepted for who he/she really is.

A lot of it could be because your astral body is reconnecting to your physical body. That's sometimes what it feels like when your astral body connects--I've experienced this before. And then your mind, in dreams, comes up with things that connect with the feelings. Say, flying, or falling out of an airplace. ect.
Here's a link if you've never heard of this before..

If I am remembering right my dream dictionary says that a falling dream is an indicator of a certain fear or insecurity that you may currently have in your life.

The only time Ive had a falling dream was when I would fall asleep in detention my freshmen and sophmore year. It would start that I would pass out and next thing I know I felt like I hit the ground with my legs and Id look around and renember my dream. It was always I was falling from the atmoshpere I never put to much thought into it. I thought it was kinda cool but I only had them in detention.

I've had a couple of falling dreams.

One where I'm falling down this shaft and at the base there's this large knife - right before I'm about to be impaled I wakeup in a cold sweat.

It's happened twice along time ago, and I hope it never happens again.

The difference between our two dreams is If I don't wake-up before I'm impaled, I'll die in my dream from shock. :leaving:

Yeah I have dreams where I get pushed. I'm too scared to see who's doing the pushing though. I read in one of my mother's dream interpretation/Wicca books that falling dreams indicate a fear of failure.
